Waipahu High School Eco Restoration at Palehua March 18th

Event Date: Mar 18, 2023

Event Location: Kapolei, HI 96707

Join our intrepid Conservation Manager Mashuri Waite for a fulfilling morning nurturing native Hawaiian plants, removing invasive weeds, and helping expand the renewed native ecosystem at our enclosure on Palehua.

Please wear covered shoes with good treads, sturdy work clothes (long pants and long sleeves) and bring your own gloves and bottle of water. Be prepared for sun, rain and possibly mosquitoes. Bring a backpack to carry snacks or a packed lunch.

You will meet at the location your club organizer has set up for you, in order to carpool or take a bus. Please don’t be late, as you need to be with the group to pass through the two locked gates on the Palehua property. We will provide tools, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Be prepared to walk about a mile on a forest trail and to use tools. There’s an incredible view along the way!
