If you think Outlook is slowing your computer down, then here's what I recommend. Open Windows Task Manager, switch to the Processes tab, and sort the list of process in descending sequence by CPU. This will allow you to see which processes are taking up the most CPU time. Rearrange your screen so you can see Task Manager and Outlook. Now, work like normal for awhile while occasionally checking to see which process is taking the most CPU time. If you see Outlook at the top a lot, then you likely have a problem. If not, then Outlook probably isn't slowing your computer down.
