Hunter Expectations


Black Canyon Wing & Clay has the following expectations of their hunters while on the premises:

  •  Hunter safety cards are required for all hunters carrying a gun in the field.
  •  Please stay on BCW&C property. We have very few neighbors, but some are very protec-tive of their property. Ask if in question.
  •  Ground pounding is dangerous. DO NOT shoot on the ground.
  •  No alcoholic beverages may be consumed before or during the hunt nor before or during the shooting of clays.
  •  No Smoking in the field.
  •  If you pack it in, pack it out. Please pick up trash and, if possible, spent shells.
  •  No road hunting is allowed
  •  New hunters may be required to demonstrate gun-handling proficiency.
  •  Ear and eye protection are required on the shooting range.
  •  If anyone is, in any way, handling a firearm in a careless manner, they will be immediately escorted off of BCW&C Property.
  •  We reserve the right to restrict hunting to anyone.
  •  Please keep vehicles on designated roads and parking areas.
  •  NO ONE allowed near bird rearing operations including the road around the flight pen.
  •  No off- roading.
  •  No Road Hunting.
  •  Be courteous to other hunters.
  •  No shot bigger than #5 in the field.
  •  Residual birds are half price. Any residual birds shot, even the ones not found MUST be accounted for.
  •  Please wear orange.
  •  Rude behavior is NOT tolerated. Make your mother proud.
