Ride the Sky Riding School Enrollment Form

Lesson Policies

  1. Lessons are scheduled in advance at the start of each quarter. Students can start later on in the quarter if a spot becomes available. Quarters run for three months at a time as follows: Winter Quarter (December - February), Spring Quarter (March - May), Summer Quarter (June - August), and Fall Quarter (September - November)
  2. Group lessons are only available to students who have been taking lessons here or at another stable for 6+ months and are able to tack on their own.
  3. Enrollment is perpetual; once enrolled, you or your child will be assured their lesson spot until we receive proper notification that your family will be unenrolled from our program. 
  4. Lesson times can be changed at any time depending on availability.
  5. Upon instructor approval, students can arrive 20 minutes before the start of their scheduled lesson to tack up their horse and be ready to ride no earlier than the start of the scheduled lesson time..
  6. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late, the lesson will be forfeit.
  7. We strive to meet communicated class schedules. In the event of operations/safety requirements, we reserve the right to make class changes as necessary.
  8. Instructor changes may occur at any time due to absent instructors or schedule changes.

Make-Up Policy

  1. You must cancel you or your child’s lessons through the Ride the Sky Stables scheduling portal or via email. The Acuity Scheduling Client App can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices. Link for the scheduling app can be found on our website.
  2. You must cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson to be issued a make up.
  3. Students that ride once a week can reschedule one lesson per quarter.
  4. Students that ride twice a week can reschedule three lessons per quarter.
  5. Make ups must be scheduled within 30 days.
  6. Make ups CANNOT be used in lieu of tuition.
  7. We cannot guarantee that make ups will be scheduled with your regular instructor.
  8. There will be no scheduled lessons on Thanksgiving, and December 22nd - December 28th. Make up lessons will be issued to all affected families. These make up lessons do NOT count towards your quarterly make up limit.

Lesson Attire

  1. Students must wear long, tight fitting pants and a comfortable shirt. Students should come prepared wearing layers and gloves in cold weather and bring their own water to maintain hydration in hot and humid weather.
  2. Students are required to wear a boot with at least a half inch heel any time they ride a horse.
  3. Closed toed shoes are mandatory at all times, for everyone in and around the barn.
  4. Students are required to wear a helmet any time they ride a horse. Purchasing a helmet is recommended, but loaner helmets are available.

Weather and Cancellation Policy

  1. Students will be contacted if a lesson needs to be canceled for any reason via text message and/or email confirmation. The lesson should be rescheduled by the student within the next four weeks.
  2. Lessons are taught in rain and most conditions, but if the instructor determines that conditions are unsuitable for riding, a horsemanship and groundwork skills lesson will be given instead. Horsemanship and groundwork skills lessons promote safety and teach students about the many aspects of their equine partners as well as providing tools for advancing their riding skills.
  3. Students will be contacted for rescheduling if conditions are unsuitable for driving to the barn such as but not limited to severe thunderstorms, snow storms, very frigid temperatures, and extremely strong winds.

Billing Policies

  1. Students must provide a $100 non-refundable deposit to confirm their spot on the roster for the next quarter. This will be deducted from your first invoice for that quarter. 
  2. Ride the Sky Stables requires a credit card on file for automatic withdrawal each month or quarter depending on billing option selected.
  3. Credit cards are subject to a 3% credit card fee. 
  4. Ride the Sky Stables will automatically charge the credit card on file the first of each month or quarter depending on the billing option selected.
  5. To change your time slot you must tell us the requested times below or via email to scheduling@ridetheskystables.com.
  6. To change your credit card on file please email billing@ridetheskystables.com or call 978 328 8744 with your new card number.
  7. To withdraw you must give at least 30 days notice to avoid being charged for the next month/quarter. 
  8. Lesson payments are non-refundable.
  9. I understand that tuition is based on 4 weeks per month: If there are 5 weeks in a month you will receive a bonus class for the month at no additional charge. If your bonus class falls on a day that we are closed you will not receive a make up.

Credit Card Authorization

  1. Payment is due at the time of enrollment and tuition fees are non-refundable
  2. Ride the Sky Stables requires a credit/debit card on file for each customer, no exception, & tuition is charged monthly, on the 1st of each month.
  3. Invalid credit or debit cards will have a charge attempted every day from the 1st thru 5th of each month until payment is made. If not paid your child will be removed from classes on or before the 5th.
  4. This payment authorization is valid and will remain in effect until Ride the Sky Stables is notified of intentions to cancel by email, at which time your account will be charged accordingly to cover remaining classes.
  5. I hereby authorize (if online payment is made or autopay information is provided) this facility to charge my bank account or credit card. Whichever is provided. I understand that I am responsible for payment whether or not my child attends classes and until I provide my 30 day notice. Should I dispute a charge through my financial institution this will constitute a breach of contract, resulting in but not limited to penalties, fees, collections, legal action and/or termination of any future services.
