What to Wear
Student must dress appropriately. A leotard with leggings is advised. For safety reasons you or your child will not be allowed to participate if wearing a sleeveless top, crop top, tank top or camisole. Most fitness/athletic clothing without strings, buttons, zippers or other restricted pieces is also acceptable. *

Fingernails and Toenails
Students cannot have long fingernails or toenails for classes at Spokane Aerial. All nails should be even with the end of the finger or toe without any sharp edges. Long fingernails or toenails will have to be cut and filed smooth before students will be allowed to participate in class. No refunds are available if a student shows up with fingernails or toe nails that cannot be trimmed for class. This includes children's classes. *

Jewelry is Not Allowed
Jewelry is NOT allowed. For safety reasons rings, necklaces. chokers, earrings, nose rings, belly rings, and any other piercing is not allowed and must be removed prior to the start of class. This includes septum piercings, gages that are not completely flush with the skin, tucked in piercings and belly rings. Please do not sign up for this class if you have piercings that cannot be removed. Even when covered, belly button rings can cause damage to the silks. If jewelry is removed at class, Spokane Aerial Performance Arts is not responsible for the loss of personal items. *

Long Hair and Safety
Students must have hair tied back away from his/her face upon entering the gym. Long hair can get caught in the silk wraps. Also, bangs and hair that covers the eyes must be pulled back at all times. Students may wear a headband to secure their glasses, if applicable. *

Personal Hygiene
Please come to class with clean garments and no perfume or scented lotions. The aerial silk apparatus' are used by others and smells tend to "stick" to the silk. Shirts with sleeves are required and are best for hygiene and also to prevent burns in the arm pit area when sliding down the silks. *

Makeup Classes
I accept that Spokane Aerial Performance Arts offers NO REFUNDS and NO MAKEUP CLASSES. Spokane Aerial Performance Arts offers no refunds in the case of a local or national disaster. AGAIN, NO MAKEUP CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANY REASON. Spokane Aerial does not offer credits, transfers or refunds. Spokane Aerial does not refund for illness or injury. Missed classes will not result in prorated tuition or refund, and do not carry over between Sessions. Occasional missed classes are acceptable but cannot be made up or prorated. *

Disruptive Behavior
Disruptive behavior can be dangerous and is not tolerated. If a student continues to exhibit disruptive behavior after repeated warnings the instructor may ask the child to sit out the remainder of a class. It is helpful if parents can help reinforce the importance of paying attention and following directions in class. Spokane Aerial Performance Arts reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is a safety risk. Students who repeatedly exhibit dangerous and unsafe behavior may be canceled from all classes and not allowed to return. *

ADULT students are likewise expected to follow all instructor directives and may also be asked to leave class if any behavior or activities are deemed unsafe or disruptive by the instructor. Consumption of drugs or alcohol prior to participation in class is highly unsafe and students under the influence of either will be immediately ejected from class, with no refund or make-up given for the missed class. *

Equipment
A student may be responsible for the replacement of equipment (silks) if they are the cause of damage due to attire or negligent use. Rings, piercings, zippers and other items can cause ruin the silks by causing holes and tears. Also, misuse and negligent use of the silks can cause burns and holes in the silks. Students and Parents acknowledge they may be responsible for the replacement of equipment if students repeatedly misuse equipment. *

Liability Waiver
I acknowledge that my participation in aerial and other classes or activities at Spokane Aerials' studio or elsewhere entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, transfer of illness, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. The risks include, among other things: slips and falls; falling from equipment; rope burns; pinches, scrapes, twists and jolts that could result in scratches, bruises, sprains, lacerations, fractures, concussions, or even more severe life threatening hazards; strains, cuts, bruises, muscle soreness and fractures; musculoskeletal injuries including head, neck, and back; injuries to internal organs; the negligence of other people; the negligence of other participants, or other persons who may be present; my own physical condition; and the risk of emotional and psychological insures or physical damage associated with this activity. Traveling to and from shows, meets and exhibitions raises the possibility of any manner of transportation accidents. Knowing these risks, myself/my child(ren) assume all risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, in connection with myself or my child participation in this activity. *

I/WE AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVE, AND RELEASE SPOKANE AERIAL, TOGETHER WITH ITS OFFICERS, TRUSTEES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND MEMBERS, AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH MY CHILD'S PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY. Furthermore, I assume complete responsibility for any property damage and/or personal injury caused by myself or my child(ren) in connection with my/his/her/their participation in activities at Spokane Aerial. I understand that this Release Agreement is a legally binding contract and shall remain in effect for the duration of myself/my child(ren)'s participation in Spokane Aerial activities. This Release agreement shall bind my heirs, personal representatives, assigns and all members of my family, including minors. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all the risks existing in this activity. *
