Video Contest Media Release

By my signature below, I understand and agree that Project Wayfinder, Inc., a Delaware corporation, its licensees, partners, contractors, service providers, successors, agents and/or assigns (“Wayfinder”) may record, film, photograph and/or tape, edit, exhibit, copy, publish, distribute or otherwise use my name, voice, picture, appearance, photographs, videos and other reproductions of my physical likeness, sound, conversation, written materials, and biographical data, including transcripts thereof (collectively, the “Materials”), in whole or in part, either alone or accompanied by other materials, in any and all media throughout the universe, whether now known or hereafter devised, including, without limitation, audio, video, print, broadcast, and all electronic media, including social media pages, websites and You Tube, such uses to include advertising or marketing collateral, internet marketing, direct marketing emails, informational and sales presentations, conference presentations, educational presentations or courses, educational videos and any other marketing or promotional uses. Such use may be for any purpose whatsoever including promotion or advertising of Wayfinder programs, products and/or services, throughout the world at Wayfinder’s sole and absolute discretion.

I hereby irrevocably release Wayfinder from any action, proceeding, suit, claim or demand connected with or incidental to my intellectual property rights, moral rights, or rights of privacy, confidentiality or publicity arising out of or in connection with any use of the Materials by Wayfinder. I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I will not receive financial compensation of any type associated with Wayfinder’s use of the Materials. I further waive any and all rights to review or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears or any use of the Materials. I understand that the rights granted in this release shall continue in perpetuity.

I have read the foregoing and fully understand the meaning and effect thereof and, intending to be legally bound, I have read and signed this release of my own free will.

Ownership + Usage Rights

Entrants will retain ownership of the underlying intellectual property of all projects submitted for the Wayfinder Future-Ready Storytelling Challenge video contest, with the following exceptions.

Entrants grant Wayfinder a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, and/or display the entrant’s project video (in whole or in part) without further compensation, permission or notification to the entrant regardless of whether entrant’s submission is selected as a winner. Wayfinder retains the right to give entrant credit or not, as Wayfinder elects in its sole and absolute discretion.
Students may submit as many video entries as they wish. However, only one (1) first-place prize will be awarded per student/team, and no student/team may receive more than one (1) award total per contest cycle.
Wayfinder maintains the right to reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, display, or exhibit all submitted projects for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes on their website, at conferences, or at any other venues.

I understand that this may include them filming themselves, being filmed by their peers, or having their voice used in a video. I acknowledge and agree that participation in this contest includes abiding by all applicable rules and requirements and that they are subject to all the ownership and usage terms of this document, as set forth above.
