The Kids Castle educators may take photographs and/or videos of children during Vacation Care activities and excursions for program documentation and communication with families. Photography and video recording are subject to parent/guardian consent in accordance with The Kids Castle’s policy. Images will be taken without showing children’s faces. All media will be captured using centre-issued devices and managed securely in accordance with the service’s privacy and child safety requirements. |

I understand that foreseeable risks may include choking from small components, minor cuts, scratches or discomfort from craft tools and materials, and accidental contact with adhesives or other materials.

TUESDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2026: GAMING BUS (INCURSION), $100/CHILD

I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the Gaming Bus Incursion at The Kids' Castle, at the Castle Cove Public School ground. The activity will involve supervised video and arcade gaming inside a gaming bus.
I understand that foreseeable risks may include minor trips, slips, bumps, falls, accidental contact with equipment or other participants, and discomfort associated with screens, sounds or lighting.

THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER 2026: FLIP OUT (EXCURSION), $130/CHILD

I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the excursion to Flip Out Frenchs Forest (https://www.flipout.com.au/locations/frenchs-forest). The excursion will involve supervised active-play activities, including trampolines, climbing walls, and other recreational equipment. The venue is located at Unit 7/25 Frenchs Forest Road, Frenchs Forest NSW 2086.
I understand that these activities involve inherent risks associated with active physical play, including slips, trips, falls, bumps, bruises, accidental collisions, sprains, strains, muscle injuries and other accidental injuries. I understand that children must follow all safety instructions provided by Flip Out staff and The Kids Castle educators.
The excursion is planned for a maximum of 40 children. Children will be supervised by The Kids Castle educators and Flip Out staff throughout the excursion. Educator staffing will be arranged according to attendance and applicable educator-to-child ratio (1:10) requirements.

FRIDAY 2 OCTOBER 2026: PAINT & SIP (DAY CAMP), $80/CHILD

I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the Paint & Sip Day Camp at The Kids Castle. The activity will involve a supervised painting session where children will use age-appropriate paints, brushes and other art materials while enjoying non-alcoholic drinks.
I understand that foreseeable risks may include accidental spills, slips, stains to clothing, minor irritation from paint or art materials, and minor injuries from handling brushes or other equipment. I understand that children may also have food or drink allergies or intolerances.
Children will be supervised by The Kids Castle educators and required to follow all safety and hygiene instructions. Educator staffing will be arranged according to attendance and applicable educator-to-child ratio (1:15) requirements.

THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER 2026: NINJA KIDS (EXCURSION), $120/CHILD |
I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the excursion to Ninja Kids Brookvale (https://www.ninjakids.com.au/ninja-kids-brookvale/). Children will participate in supervised Ninja Warrior-style activities, including obstacle courses, climbing, balancing, jumping, tumbling and team-based games. The venue is located at 22/130 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale NSW 2100.
I understand that these activities involve inherent risks associated with active physical play, including slips, trips, falls, bumps, bruises, collisions, muscle strains, sprains, and other accidental injuries. I understand that children must follow all safety instructions provided by Ninja Kids coaches and The Kids Castle educators.
The excursion will accommodate a maximum of 45 children. Children will be supervised by The Kids Castle educators and Ninja Kids coaches throughout the activity. Educator staffing will be arranged according to attendance and applicable educator-to-child ratio (1:10) requirements.

FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER 2026: BUILD-A-BEAR (DAY CAMP), $95/CHILD |
I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the Build a Bear Day Camp at The Kids Castle. The activity will involve children creating and hand-stuffing one plush bear using materials supplied by Stufflers. The $80 day camp fee includes one bear per child.
I understand that Stufflers will provide an assortment of bears based on availability and that children may choose one bear from the selection provided on the day. While reasonable efforts will be made to provide a variety of options, a particular bear, colour, style or design cannot be guaranteed. I understand that the available selection is determined by Stufflers and The Kids Castle cannot guarantee that my child will receive their preferred choice.
I understand that if my child chooses not to make a bear, is unable to find a preferred bear from the available selection, or is dissatisfied with the bear they make, the $95 day camp fee will still apply and no reduction, refund or credit will be provided.
I understand that foreseeable risks may include minor cuts or scratches from craft materials, discomfort from handling stuffing materials, accidental contact with tools or equipment, and possible allergic or sensory reactions to plush materials or stuffing.
Children will be supervised by The Kids Castle educators and required to follow all safety instructions during the activity. Educator staffing will be arranged according to attendance and applicable educator-to-child ratio (1:15) requirements.

MONDAY 12 OCTOBER 2026: LASER WARRIORS (INCURSION), $100/CHILD |
I acknowledge and consent to my child/children participating in the LaserWarriors mobile laser tag incursion at The Kids Castle. The activity will involve supervised laser tag games using laser tag equipment, including lightweight sensor vests and laser tag phasors, with a range of team-based games and challenges.
I understand that foreseeable risks may include slips, trips, falls, bumps, bruises, accidental collisions with other children or equipment, minor muscle strains, fatigue and other accidental injuries associated with active physical play. I understand that children may also experience discomfort from wearing equipment or participating in an energetic activity.
Children will be supervised by The Kids Castle educators and LaserWarriors instructors throughout the activity and will be required to follow all safety instructions and game rules. Educator staffing will be arranged according to attendance and applicable educator-to-child ratio (1:15) requirements.

RISK WARNING This warning constitutes a “risk warning" for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). All of the activities undertaken at or organised by the Centre, whether by incursion or excursion or otherwise and whether provided by an external service provider or by the Centre itself, are “recreational activities” for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). By signing this Consent, Acknowledgment and Waiver as parent or guardian for the above mentioned child/ren, I acknowledge and agree that there are inherent risks of harm to children participating in each and all of the Vacation Care Program activities, including the incursions and excursions that I have nominated in the above. The risks in respect to each of the Vacation Care Program activities include: - Those risks set out in the Risk Assessments (if any) corresponding to the Vacation Care Program activity;
- The risk of a slip, fall, collision and the like, and resultant injury, where the Vacation Care Program activity involves any form of physical activity or use of materials that may spill or cause any form of trip or slip hazard;
- The risk of injury though use or misuse by any person of any item of equipment, utensil, apparatus, appliance, implement and the like, that are reasonably associated with the relevant Vacation Care Program activity;
- The risk of injury associated with misbehaviour of any child or misadventure taking in account the nature of the school grounds and buildings that the Centre operates from and in; and/or
- Any other obvious risk associated with any Vacation Care Program activity that, by its nature, involves a significant risk of physical harm, for example, the risk of injury where the activity may involve swimming or playing in water.
I further acknowledge and agree that in relation to all such Vacation Care Program activities and by reason of this Risk Warning, provided the Centre complies with all written laws of New South Wales or the Commonwealth of Australia that establish specific practices or procedures for the protection of personal safety, the Centre owes no duty of care in respect of any form of risk associated with the activity.

WAIVER In respect to each of the Vacation Care Program activities I have enrolled my child/ren in, I hereby acknowledge and agree that: 1. I have been advised and thoroughly informed and made all due inquiry in respect to the risks associated with each of the activities. 2. I have imparted on my child/ren attending such activities that: (a) while participating in relevant activities, they must wear required safety equipment as directed by the Centre staff or other persons formally engaged to conduct the activity;
(b) they must follow all directions, instructions and safety rules given to them by Centre staff or other persons formally engaged to conduct the activity; and
(c) they should ask any questions and seek assistance in relation to the proper use of any equipment, materials or facilities associated with the activity. 3. The activities may be physically demanding, require a basic level of physical fitness or skill and may result in forces being exerted on the body that may activate or aggravate pre-existing physical injuries, conditions, or congenital defects and that, taking into account the nature of the activities and the health and condition of my child/ren, I have determined that he/she /they do not suffer any illness, ailment or incapacity that may be aggravated or advanced by participation in any activity and that no such illness, ailment or incapacity operates so as to increase any risk associated with participation in such activities; 4. I understand that the activities involve certain inherent risks and exposure to the natural elements and that I am consenting to my child/ren participating in the activities at their/my own risk; 5. I hereby release and hold harmless the Centre, its principals, committee, servants and/or agents from any suit, demand or claim whether present, future or contingent arising as a consequence of and not limited to death, injury or disablement received by my child/ren during the participation in the said activities; and 6. Nothing in this Waiver excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy, implied or imposed by any Statute or Regulation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. All express or implied representations, conditions, warranties and provision, whether based in Statute, or otherwise relating to provision of products and services pursuant to or contemplated by this document that are not contained within these terms are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Authorisation to collect child/ren from the Kids Castle For the safety of all children, parents/guardians must ensure that The Kids Castle has current details of all persons authorised to collect their child/children. If a child is to be collected by a person who is not listed as an authorised nominee on the child’s enrolment record, the parent/guardian must notify The Kids Castle in advance by email and provide the person’s full name and relevant identification details. In an emergency, a parent/guardian may notify The Kids Castle by text message on 0468 481 604, clearly stating the full name of the person collecting the child and their contact details. Any person collecting a child must be 18 years or over and must provide valid photo identification, such as a driver licence or other government-issued photo ID. This requirement applies to all authorised nominees and parents/guardians who are not known to centre staff. Every person who collects a child, including parents/guardians and authorised nominees, must sign the child out at the time of collection. The person collecting the child must complete the sign-out using the Xplor Home App on the centre touchscreen or, where required, the sign-out sheet located at the sign out desk.
