Thank you for choosing Cool Breeze Equine LLC to help you learn how to ride and work with horses and become an advocate for horses everywhere. We are excited to work with you! Please take a moment to provide your information and complete our rider release form and training agreement. The Student and Cool Breeze Equine LLC (“CBE”) agree as follows: Riding Academy Services 1. CBE will provide the Student with access to riding classes based on which program they choose (Basic, Accelerated, or Premium). The Basic Subscription includes access to a maximum of 4 riding classes per month. The Accelerated Subscription includes access to a maximum of 8 riding classes per month. The Premium Subscription includes access to 12 riding classes per month, and 4 free rides per month for riders level 3 and above. The riding classes will be either 1 hour groups or 30 minute privates. 2. In addition to riding classes, each Subscription includes up to 4 group unmounted horsemanship classes per month on the weeks that CBE is open. The horsemanship class schedule is posted on the calendar on our website. These classes are very important for student progress. (Baseball players don’t just learn to bat, they also learn to field the ball & run bases!). Students will receive access to a goal setting session every quarter. 3. Occasional breaks are built into the annual calendar to allow for major holidays, for the health, well-being, and continuing education of our valuable school horses, instructors, and staff, and to accommodate the large projects that are occasionally necessary to maintain a safe riding academy. Every best effort will be made to communicate these breaks as early as possible in the year, and any updates will be communicated as promptly as possible throughout the year. Breaks & Academy events are posted online at https://www.coolbreezeequine.com/calendar These breaks may result in some months containing fewer or more than 4, 8, or 12 weekly riding classes. Monthly Subscription prices remain the same regardless, and therefore Students who subscribe year-round receive the best value for their investment. Students are encouraged to to work on their curriculum books during weeks off. 4. Unless the Student plans to ride their own horse, CBE will provide the class horse, quality saddle, bridle, and all equipment for the horse. If you plan to ride your own horse in classes, please notify your instructor at the time of sign up. We welcome trailer-ins. If your horse is not rideable for the class, a school horse may be used at $25 per class provided one is available and sufficient notice has been provided to request a school horse. 5. For group classes, students will be automatically grouped together with students of a similar ability and level. This is paramount to our barn culture and philosophy of creating a community that encourages camaraderie, friendship and support. We feel this leads to higher quality riding, classes, and just plain more fun. Student Requirements 1. Student must arrive on time. Confirm with your instructor, but depending on your level this means at least 30 minutes prior to the riding class to groom & tack up to maximize riding time in the class itself. Students should also plan to stay 30 minutes after their class to clean up & put their horse & tack away. In order to fairly provide class time to all Subscription holders, the class will not be extended and group classes will not be delayed for Students who are running late. Lower levels will include prep and cleanup time within the class since they require instructor supervision and assistance until these Students are knowledgeable enough and/or old enough to safely prepare and clean up on their own, at which point their riding time will subsequently increase. Students in group classes requiring supervision/assistance that arrive after their group has entered the arena may forfeit their ride for that day, but will be incorporated into the class’s riding theory and horsemanship components from the ground. Upon arrival if a Student’s horse is ready from a previous class, or upon completion of the class if a Student’s horse will be used in a subsequent class and does not require cleanup, the Student will be expected to assist their teammates in preparation and/or cleanup of the other horses in their class. This will provide the Student with the necessary practice time to develop their skills and confidence in these processes and with different horses, while facilitating the development of valuable interpersonal skills & camaraderie. 2. Proper safety attire should always be worn by Students and their guests while at the barn. This includes closed toed shoes for ALL guests. Proper riding attire must be worn for riding classes. For safety we require an ASTM/SEI certified helmet, riding boots with low heels, and riding breeches, jodphurs, or long pants, a neatly tucked in shirt, no spaghetti straps, crop-tops, skirts, shorts, yoga pants, leggings or capris. Refer to https://www.coolbreezeequine.com/policies for more detail on attire. If the Student does not arrive in appropriate attire, their class may be converted to an unmounted class for safety reasons. 3. Student must be coachable, positive, and have a good attitude! 4. Be proactive! We provide MANY avenues to further your theoretical, practical and riding skills including our progressive levels curriculum, private online community, video library, student events, clinics, field trips, and weekly horsemanship classes. View our student calendar here: https://www.coolbreezeequine.com/calendar 5. We work very hard to cultivate a positive, encouraging barn-family environment that encourages all levels of Students to further their education in horsemanship and riding for the good of horses and each other. We encourage camaraderie, congratulating each other, asking for solutions when stuck, and always considering the horse’s perspective. We do not foster whining, drama, or self-pity parties. We have a zero tolerance for any bullying, gossipy, mean-spirited or abusive behavior, and if anyone acts in such a way, they risk immediate expulsion from the program. Subscription and Payment Terms 1. Our monthly tuition price is based on the annual value. Student will maintain a valid credit or debit card on file, and it will be automatically charged the amounts below based on which program and which term they choose on the 25th of the previous month for the upcoming month (ex: June’s Subscription will be charged on May 25th). If the Student joins in the middle of a month, that month will be prorated. Students are continually re-enrolled in the next quarter until written cancellation notice is provided at least 30 days prior to the end of the quarter. If the Student needs to change the credit or debit card on file, please call the CBE Office at 571-248-1780 and provide the new credit or debit card number, expiration date, CVC and zip code. If any payment is unsuccessful, Student will have 5 days to bring the account current before their Subscription may be cancelled, and their reserved class time forfeited, along with any other scheduled services. Any unpaid obligations may be referred to a third party for collection if initial efforts to collect payment are unsuccessful. If the student chooses to stop riding in the middle of a quarter, they are still financially responsible for the remainder of the quarter regardless of the reason. Subscription Type Monthly Payments Quarterly Payments School Horse: BASIC SCHOOL HORSE $360/mo $1080/qtr ACCELERATED SCHOOL HORSE $720/mo $2160/qtr PREMIUM SCHOOL HORSE $1080/mo $3240/qtr Owned Horses: BASIC TRAINING $260/mo $780/qtr ACCELERATED TRAINING $520/mo $1560/qtr FULL TRAINING $1040/mo $3120/qtr PREMIUM TRAINING $1200/mo $3600/qtr
2. CBE runs on a quarterly semester commitment schedule for continuity of the learning experience and to increase the success rate of our Students. It is possible to join the program at any point throughout the year, but the commitment runs per quarter. Students will be continually re-enrolled into the upcoming quarter until the student provides written notice at least 30 days before the end of the quarter. If the student chooses to stop riding in the middle of a quarter, they are still financially responsible for the remainder of the quarter regardless of the reason. Semester Months Cancellation Deadline for next Qtr. 1st Quarter January through March No later than 11:59pm February 28 2nd Quarter April through June No later than 11:59pm May 31 3rd Quarter July through September No later than 11:59pm August 30 4th Quarter October through December No later than 11:59pm November 30 We have incredible expenses and financial commitments to be able to offer this riding program, and we depend on students who can make some commitment, as well as give us plenty of notice if they are unable to continue so that we have time to pull students in from the waiting list to take their place. There is no reason why a student will not be financially committed for the entire quarter, even if they are unable to make it to classes. Example: A student enrolls July 1st. They immediately get sick and cannot ride for 3 months. They are still financially responsible for July, August, and September even though they may not be able to ride. We are happy to work with students to substitute unmounted classes for riding classes when applicable. Students must cancel in writing by sending an email to office.coolbreezeequine@gmail.com for their cancellation to be valid. CBE reserves the right to cancel this agreement with a 7 day notice for any Student who has a delinquent account, is abusive or overtly disrespectful to any animal or person, repeatedly has an un-coachable attitude, or contributes in any way to a toxic barn environment. Scheduling 1. Student will receive a dedicated day(s) of the week and time(s) for their riding class. Please remember that CBE will be closed for occasional breaks throughout the year. 2. If Student cannot make their regular class time during a particular week, Student must provide a minimum 48 hour written (not verbal) notice, and CBE will allow a maximum of 1 make-up class per month, to be used within the same month, provided one is available. Students who are not yet able to join group riding classes should use the online calendar to schedule a private riding class with their regular instructor. All other students should utilize the regularly scheduled make-up classes which are available each month and are viewable online at https://CoolBreezeEquineScheduleMyLesson.as.me/MAKEUPLESSON. Use the coupon code MAKEUP to avoid additional charges. Make-up classes may vary in format, size, and length from a regular riding class at the discretion of the instructor. If 48 hour notice has not been provided, the Student’s option for a make-up class will be forfeited. All subscription payments are due regardless of Student’s attendance. The best way to get the most value out of the program is to make it a priority and a commitment not to miss your dedicated class times. With any contagious illness, please be respectful of our staff members and other Students, some of whom may be immunocompromised. If you are ill, please do not come to the barn. 3. In the event that riding classes are not possible due to extreme weather, horse illness or lameness, etc. an unmounted class will be provided. If travel restrictions or other extreme circumstances are in effect, the class may be converted to a virtual class using something like Zoom or Google Meet. (We recommend Students catalog riding videos of themselves throughout the year for analysis during virtual classes.) 4. If a Student would like to make a long-term change to their dedicated riding class time, they may do so a maximum of 1 time in a quarter, provided an alternative time is available, by emailing office.coolbreezeequine@gmail.com . Additional Services All services outside the scope of this agreement that are requested by the Student and which CBE agrees to perform will be automatically charged to the credit/debit card on file at the time of service. Rates for additional services are available upon request. Additional classes can be purchased for $90 on a school horse, $65 on your own horse. No Guarantee and No Refunds CBE does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results. The results of your riding program are largely based on the efforts of the Student. There are no refunds for any reason. For best results we encourage you to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible at CBE. Communications 1. Student agrees to communicate all scheduling changes or any other concerns about the program via the Office phone 571-248-1780 or Office email office.coolbreezeequine@gmail.com. 2. Any and all changes by CBE including changes to pricing, Subscriptions, availability, program content, or any other matters will be made via email and online with the Student with a minimum of a 30 day notice. 3. Please note that instructors often do not have time to discuss client goals and concerns during class hours. Please schedule a goal setting meeting to make sure there is a good time set aside for these conversations, or reach out to the office to schedule a time to meet with the instructor.
