Member, Day Use, Rental & Surf Lesson Agreement

Traveler Surf Club Rules & Waiver

Traveler Surf Club (“TSC”) is a shared community space for ocean enthusiasts. By entering or using TSC facilities, equipment, or participating in any activity, guests agree to follow all posted or verbal rules and understand they use the facilities at their own risk.

General Rules

  • Guests are responsible for their conduct, safety, and any damage they cause.
  • TSC is monitored by security cameras.
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • Guests must clean up after themselves and not leave belongings unattended.
  • Children under 12 are not permitted. Ages 13–17 must be accompanied by an adult member and have appropriate access privileges.

Lockers & Personal Property

  • Lockers are provided as a convenience only.
  • TSC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including surfboards, wetsuits, valuables, or belongings left in lockers.
  • Illegal substances, firearms, and hazardous materials are prohibited.
  • Unpaid or abandoned items left over 30 days may become TSC property.

Beach & Facility Use

  • All surfing, swimming, lessons, rentals, and use of facilities are at the guest’s own risk.
  • Guests agree to follow all local Malibu beach and park regulations, including proper trash disposal and no glass or bonfires.
  • TSC is not responsible for injuries, accidents, medical expenses, or death related to use of facilities, surf lessons, or rental equipment.

Rental Equipment Responsibility

Guests are responsible for all rental equipment and may be charged for damage beyond normal wear and tear.

Soft Boards / Foamies

  • Foam gashes: $20–$150
  • Damaged fin box: $100
  • Broken fin: $50
  • Lost or irreparably damaged board: $300–$600

Fiberglass Boards

  • Small ding: $50
  • Larger ding/scratch: $100
  • Damaged fin box: $150
  • Broken fin: $100
  • Lost or irreparably damaged board: $500–$1,000


Liability Waiver

By signing this agreement, guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with use of TSC facilities, equipment, surf activities, and related services, including risks caused by negligence. Guests release and hold harmless Traveler Surf Club, its owners, employees, affiliates, and agents from any claims for injury, death, property loss, or damages arising from participation or facility use.

Guests also agree to indemnify and hold TSC harmless from any claims or damages caused by themselves, their guests, or minors under their supervision.

This agreement is governed by California law. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect.

By checking here, you are waiving that right. After consent, you may, upon written request to us, obtain a paper copy of an electronic record. No fee will be charged for such copy and no special hardware or software is required to view it.
