The terms of your membership in a martial or cultural arts program at Seichou Karate® Ltd. (SKL) are set out below. MARTIAL ARTS MEMBERSHIPS FOR ADULTS We offer two membership options for adults: month-to-month and annual. Unless you have chosen an annual membership, adult students pay month-to-month, and there is no commitment to continue your enrollment beyond the current month. Students may withdraw and discontinue monthly payments by giving us 14 days notice by email. Note that students MUST give us notice for us to stop payments. Therefore, if you don't ask us to stop processing payments, we will continue to charge you and, thereafter, we will not refund monies that we have collected. MARTIAL ARTS MEMBERSHIPS FOR MINORS We offer two membership options for minors: trimester and annual. Children through 17 years of age enroll 3 times a year as follows: January to May (5-month commitment), June to August (3-month commitment) and September to December (4-month commitment). Minors’ programs require a commitment to enroll for the entire current trimester. So, if a student begins a trimester, he or she agrees to enroll for the entire 3, 4 or 5-month period. For example, when a student enrolls on January 1, she commits to remain in our program until May 31. Her commitment ends at the end of May. If the student continues in June, then a new commitment begins and will run from June through the end of August. Subsequent enrollment periods are treated in the same fashion. CULTURAL ARTS MEMBERSHIPS FOR ADULTS AND MINORS We offer the following cultural arts programs: Japanese calligraphy, abacus, language, and flower arranging. Students enroll 3 times a year as follows: January to May (5-month commitment), June to August (3-month commitment) and September to December (4-month commitment). Cutltural arts programs require a commitment to enroll for the entire current trimester. So, if a student begins a trimester, he or she agrees to enroll for the entire 3, 4 or 5-month period. For example, when a student enrolls on January 1, she commits to remain in our program until May 31. Her commitment ends at the end of May. If the student continues in June, then a new commitment begins and will run through the end of August. Subsequent enrollment periods are treated in the same fashion. WITHDRAWAL FROM OUR PROGRAMS Students may withdraw from our programs by giving us 14 days notice by email before the end of a month (for adults’ martial arts programs) or trimester (for cultural arts and minors’ martial arts programs). Note that students MUST give us notice for us to stop payments. Therefore, if you don't ask us to stop processing payments, we will continue to charge you and, thereafter, we will not refund monies that we have collected. Please note that students who enroll in any children’s program commit to SKL membership until the end of the 3, 4, or 5-month period. Similarly, adults and children who enroll in an annual program commit to SKL membership until the end of the 1-year period. PAYMENT ACCEPTANCE POLICY We process payments once a month electronically from your bank or credit card account on the anniversary date of your initial enrollment. For example, if you enroll on the 10th day of March, we will process your payment on the 10th day of each month thereafter. STOPPING ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS Students may discontinue monthly payments by giving us 14 days notice before the end of the current month for adults, before the end of the current trimester for children and adults under 18 years, and before the end of the current year for annual enrollments. Note that students MUST give us notice for us to stop payments. Therefore, if you don't ask us to stop processing payments, we will continue to charge you and, thereafter, we will not refund monies that we have collected. EXTENSION OF ENROLLMENT Unless we receive written notice from you to stop electronic payments, you authorize us to renew your enrollment at the conclusion of each month (for adults), trimester (for minors), or year (for adults and children who choose annual enrollment). PLACING MEMBERSHIPS ON HOLD We permit students to place their memberships on hold twice each year for periods of 30 days or more. Please notify us by email of the beginning and ending dates of your absence. Note that placing your membership on hold might cause our software to change the date of your automatic payments.
