Spray Tanning Release, Liability & Studio Policy Waiver

Please read and sign the following before receiving your spray tan service.

Spray tanning is performed using a cosmetic solution containing DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), a color additive used to temporarily darken the outer layer of the skin. DHA is approved for external cosmetic use.

During the spray tanning process, protective items such as nose filters and lip balm/barrier are offered to clients to help protect the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes from exposure. Clients may choose whether or not to use these protective items.

During your appointment you will enter a private room and may undress to your comfort level. Disposable undergarments are available upon request. Spray tanning solution may transfer to clothing, therefore it is recommended that you wear dark, loose-fitting clothing after your appointment.

The tanning solution may contain a temporary cosmetic bronzer that provides immediate color. This cosmetic bronzer will rinse off during your first shower, revealing the developed spray tan underneath.

While ingredients used in spray tanning solutions are generally considered safe for cosmetic use, individual reactions or sensitivities may occur. If you have allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical concerns, please consult with your technician before receiving this service.

Certain medications, including antibiotics, hormone medications, or birth control, may affect the development or longevity of your spray tan. Pregnant or nursing individuals should consult their physician prior to receiving spray tanning services.

Spray tanning results may vary depending on several factors including skin type, body chemistry, medications, preparation, aftercare, lifestyle activities, and environmental conditions.

This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Exposure to UV light may still cause skin damage.

I confirm that I have received and understand the spray tan preparation and aftercare instructions, and I understand that improper preparation or aftercare may negatively affect my results.

To the best of my knowledge, I do not have any medical condition or allergy that would prevent me from safely receiving this service. I accept responsibility for any potential staining of clothing or personal belongings.

I voluntarily consent to receive spray tanning services and release BlushTan Bellingham and its owners, employees, and representatives from liability related to this service, except in cases of gross negligence.

Satisfaction Policy

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not happy with your spray tan, please contact us within 24 hours of your appointment.

If you cannot reach us by phone, please leave a voicemail. You may also email Bellingham@blushtan.com after calling the studio and include photos if you are experiencing an issue.

We will review your concern and may offer a complimentary touch-up or credit toward a future service, depending on the situation.

Spray tan results can vary based on factors outside of our control including:

• Pre-tan preparation

• Post-tan care

• Skin type and pH balance

• Medications

• Lifestyle and daily activities

• Weather and humidity

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for any reason. Once the tanning solution has been applied, the service is considered complete and non-refundable.

Tips are also non-refundable, as they are paid directly to your technician at the time of service.
