Parental Authorization for a minor to shoot at the Range with a third party I, herby authorize the following party, whom I personally know to be twenty one years of age or older, to bring the above listed minor to Mainstreet Guns and Range to shoot various firearms. The adult party must be with the minor any time the minor is on the range. I understand that this authorization must be on file with Mainstreet, and must remain so until their twenty first birthday, or until a written request is filed to remove this document. I fully understand that the minor and authorized adults are subject to all rules and regulations of the range. RANGE RULES 1. ALWAYS keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3. ALWAYS keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
4. Know how to safely use the gun.
5. Be aware that certain types of firearms and many shooting activities require additional safety precautions.
6. Never use alcohol, over-the-counter, prescription, or other drugs before or while shooting.
7. Persons under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to shoot a pistol on the range.
8. Bring only unloaded firearms on the premises. Loading is performed only within the confines of your firing lane. Unload your weapon and leave the slide or cylinder open before you leave your firing lane.
9. NO loaded firearms or magazines in the store area.
10. Only standard loads of ammunition are allowed on the range. NO ARMOR PIERCING, STEEL CORE, TRACER, OR OTHER EXOTIC AMMUNITION. If in doubt, please consult the range staff.
11. Slugs are the ONLY ammunition allowed while shooting a shotgun.
12. The largest caliber allowed while using rifles is .30 cal.
13. For safety reasons, without the approval of the range master, fully automatic firearms, pistol grip firearms, and under barrels are NOT allowed.
14. You may NOT use shoulder, ankle, cross-draw or other eccentric holsters on the range.
15. The range staff reserve the right to inspect any firearm/ammunition brought into the facility. Any firearm or ammunition found to be unsafe or unserviceable will not be allowed on the range.
16. Maximum of THREE persons PER lane. Spectators will not be allowed in the range area unless authorized by the range master.
17. Ear and eye protection is mandatory for anyone entering the range area. All shooters and spectators must wear proper hearing protection while inside the range. Protection must have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 23 dB or higher. For indoor ranges or when using high-caliber firearms, double protection (earplugs + earmuffs) is strongly recommended. Important: Consumer noise-canceling headphones do not provide adequate hearing protection on a gun range. They are designed for low-level, steady sounds (like engine hum or office noise) and lack the certified NRR required to block sudden, high-intensity gunfire. Use only earplugs, earmuffs, or a combination rated for shooting.
18. Fire only on your assigned target.
19. Dry firing (unloaded) is allowed from the firing point only.
20. The command “cease Fire” means stop firing immediately, place your firearm on the bench, and wait for further instructions. Resume firing only at the direction of the Range Master. The commands may be given by voice, whistle, or even touch, so be attentive.
21. If you experience any unfamiliar malfunction stop firing immediately, place the firearm on the bench with the muzzle pointed downrange, and request assistance from the range staff.
22. Leave the action open on any firearm resting on the bench.
23. Accidental discharges, damages, or injuries, no matter how minor they may seem, must be reported the the range officer immediately.
24. NEVER move forward of the firing line. Request a range employee to retrieve any equipment that falls forward of the firing line.
25. NO food, beverage or smoking allowed in the range.
26. Only approved targets may be used.
27. Persons who are prohibited by state/federal law from purchasing, possessing, or using firearms are prohibited from use of the range facilities.
28. Mainstreet Guns & Range reserves the sole right to deny membership and/or access to the range facilities to any person that staff reasonably believes use and presence by such person(s) may constitute an unsafe environment.
29. No refunds will be given to persons that are removed from the range for safety reasons or damage.
30. The Range Staff has final authority. 31. For your safety open toed shoes and low cut tops are prohibited.
32. We highly recommend that all pregnant women refrain from entering the range. Date; December 6, 2025 |
