Membership Agreement Form

Hereinafter the "Member" and The Rock Club LLC ("TRC" or "Club") agree as follows:

TRC is a membership club. Those wishing to become members may do so by (i) paying appropriate membership fees, (ii) executing TRC's waiver form and agreeing to follow TRC's rules and regulations and, (iii) satisfying the required skill and safety tests. (See Skills Certification below)

Membership Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully as our policies differ for some membership types. Any variation is clearly specified below. If unspecified, the statement applies to all members


Paid in Full (hereafter referred to as PIF) refers to memberships where payment is taken in full at the time of purchase. PIF memberships include Annual Paid in Full, New Climber Package, and Short Term Flex. Membership will start on the date this agreement takes effect.

Electronic Funds Transfer (hereafter referred to as EFT) refers to memberships that are billed monthly. Payment of dues for EFT memberships shall be by direct charge to Member's credit card or bank account. At the time of purchase, a prorated amount is charged that covers dues from when this agreement takes effect until the end of the current month, at which time billings will reoccur on the 1st of each month until the membership is cancelled. If an EFT membership has a contracted term, the membership will not be automatically cancelled at the end of that contracted term. Memberships may be terminated on accounts more than 45 days past due without refund for monthly membership dues.

Guest Policy

Members have an unlimited number of free day passes for guests visiting The Rock Club for the first time. The member must be present when their guests are on the premises. Guests are required to check in at the Front Desk, sign a waiver, and pay for any needed rental gear. An individual is only allowed to be a free guest once at TRC, and may come in at a discounted day rate of $10 the next time. After that, the cost of entry will return to full price.

Personal Injury & Property

The Member recognizes that there are inherent dangers and risks of physical injury in using TRC's facilities and participating in its activities. All TRC participants must complete and sign a Liability Waiver. TRC assumes no responsibility for any injury incurred by members or their guests while in the gym. TRC is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property on the club grounds or premises.

Adherence to General Rules and Regulations

The Member agrees to abide by TRC's posted rules and regulations. TRC’s full rules are posted in the facility and can be found online. We reserve the right to cancel the membership of any customer who fails to adhere to any posted rules. In such cases, refunds are subject to the discretion of TRC’s management.

Members Code of Conduct

The member agrees to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards TRC staff, members, and customers. Respectful conduct includes, but it not limited to, following staff instructions, seeking amicable resolution to conflicts with staff or other customers, communicating complaints to our staff/management in a direct but understanding manner. Failing to adhere to respectful conduct will result in a warning, suspension, or termination of their membership. Furthermore, repeated failure to adhere to respectful conduct may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the facility. The member also understands that severely disrespectful conduct, including any conduct that is violent, threatening, or harassing will result in the immediate termination of their membership and the possibility of being banned from the facility. If a membership is terminated for a code of conduct violation, no refund will be given.

Freezing Membership

The Rock Club allows freezes of various membership options. Members are charged $15 per month their membership is frozen.

All EFT memberships may be frozen at anytime. Freeze requests must be submitted through the membership change form on the website before the 15th of the month to avoid charges for the next month. If an EFT membership has a contracted term, the contract will be extended the length of the freeze

Annual PIF memberships may also be frozen at anytime. To freeze an Annual PIF, your request must be emailed to the address found in TRC's membership change webpage. Your membership will be extended the length of the freeze.

All other PIF options, including Short Term Flex and the New Climber Package, cannot be frozen or suspended except as described in Consumer Right To Cancellation below.

Injury Policy

If you cannot climb due to an injury, you may freeze your membership for free, so long as you have a doctor's note describing the injury and length of time you will be unable to climb. Freezes due to injury are free and can be applied to any membership. Medical freeze requests should be emailed to the address listed on the website. 

Cancellation Policy and Transferability

EFT memberships can be cancelled so long as they are not within their contracted period. Cancellation requests must be submitted through the membership change form on our website before the 15th of the month to avoid charges for the next month.

PIF and contracted memberships cannot be cancelled, except for the following circumstances:

  • You relocate your residence more than 25 miles from TRC
  • You become disabled or deceased
  • TRC ceases operation

If you do cancel due to one of those circumstances, TRC will refund the value of the portion of your membership between the cancellation and the memberships end date. Additionally, a $60 cancellation fee will be applied to your account. 

Other memberships may not be cancelled and refunds will not be made except as described in the Consumer Right to Cancellation section below.


Member agrees to provide a valid email address for purposes of billing, communication of special events and TRC closings. Member also agrees not to unsubscribe from TRC e-mailings.

CONSUMER RIGHT TO CANCELLATION per General Business Laws, State of New York, Section 627,622, Subdivisions 70 through 74

"YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT WITHOUT ANY PENALTY OR FURTHER OBLIGATION WITHIN THREE (3)BUSINESS DAYS FROM April 21, 2024. Notice of cancellation shall be in writing and mailed by registered or certified US mail to The Rock Club. The notice must state that you do not wish to be bound by this contract and must be mailed before midnight of the 3rd business day after you execute this contract. After you cancel, The Rock Club may request the return of all contracts, membership cards and other documentation of your membership. The notice must be mailed to The Rock Club LLC, 130 Rhodes St., New Rochelle, NY 10801.

You may also cancel this membership if you relocate your residence further than twenty five (25) miles. This contract may also be cancelled if you die, or if TRC ceases operations. If you become disabled you have the option of (1) being relieved of liability for payment on that portion of the contract term for which you are disabled or (2) extending the duration of the original contract at no cost to you for a period equal to the duration of the disability. You must prove such disability by a doctor's certificate which must be enclosed with the written notice of disability.

Refunds for 12-month memberships that are paid in full will be calculated based on the regular monthly (EFT) rate and will be deducted the appropriate cancellation fee (stated above).

New York State law requires certain health clubs to have a bond or other form of financial security to protect members in the event that the club closes. TRC is exempt from this requirement since it provides members with the option of paying on an installment basis."

By checking here, you are waiving that right. After consent, you may, upon written request to us, obtain a paper copy of an electronic record.
