Kayak/Paddleboard Storage Rental Contract 

STORAGE RACK CONTRACT, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS

 

Kayak/Paddleboard Storage Rental NOT open for Commercial Use. I understand that Bay Venture Outfitters (BVO) operates and maintains kayak racks. Storage slots are non-transferrable and refunds will not be issued. Abuses of storage rack may result in revocation of storage slot at the discretion of BVO and without recourse or refund.

I understand and agree that any loss, theft, or vandalism of personal property and expense thereof, as a result of my use of the storage rack, is my responsibility and do hereby release and hold harmless BVO from any claim. BVO is renting me a storage space for the sole purpose of storing my kayak or paddleboard for a season or year-round. Please help protect your storage space area; report any vandalism or theft.

For your safety and the security of our business and your equipment, you will be allowed to access your equipment anytime from sunrise to sunset. After hours availability will need to be arranged with BVO staff.

I agree to provide a lock and cable to secure my kayak/paddleboard to the storage rack. Additionally, I agree to remove the lock and kayak/paddleboard from my storage rack by September 30 for the summer season UNLESS I have paid the year-round storage fee or agreed to Automatic Renewal, or April 30 for off-season and year-round.

I understand that if I fail to renew my storage space rental by the renewal deadline and I have not elected automatic renewal, I must remove my lock by September 30 for the summer season or April 30 for off-season or year-round, otherwise my lock and kayak/paddleboard will be removed by BVO and I will be billed an additional $10 per day storage fee at an off- site location and a $25 removal fee. After 45 days, all equipment becomes the property of BVO. All outstanding balances on accounts must be paid before any season storage rack rental will be renewed.

I understand that if I request it, BVO will attempt, but does not guarantee that it will be able, to assign the same storage slot that I currently rent when I renew my storage space rental for another season, unless I have chosen Automatic Renewal and my rental space(s) will remain the same.

I understand that in order to renew a season or year-round storage space, my name must appear on the records as the storage space holder. Rented storage spaces cannot be transferred or sublet to other individuals and I understand that doing so may result in permanent revocation of my storage space privileges without refund.

I understand the storage rack and the surrounding area is not a secure area and can be accessed by members of the public.

I understand only one kayak or two stand up paddleboards are allowed and no other property is allowed in slot. Each kayak/paddleboard must be in the assigned slot per season/year-round pass application along with each storage the designated sticker. Each piece of equipment will receive one sticker only. If a second sticker is needed; if lost or new equipment is purchased, there will be a $15 charge. No additional stickers will be issued, no exceptions.

I understand that failure to renew my storage space rental by the renewal deadline will result in removal of my name as the storage space holder and reassignment of my storage space area to another individual.

I understand it is my responsibility and I agree to update all changes to my credit card information on file with the BVO as they occur. If automatic renewal charges cannot be processed because my credit card information has changed and I have not updated the BVO with new credit card information, I understand this could result in the removal of my name as the kayak/paddleboard storage space(s) holder.

I hereby acknowledge that I have read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between BVO and me and that I will abide by the rules and regulations above and as otherwise implemented by BVO.
