Rental Agreement

Rentals are for experienced paddlers with knowledge of the marine environment to include tides, currents, wind and oyster beds.   If you do not have paddling experience and are unfamiliar with the marine environment, you can choose to sign up for one of our amazing guided tours.

Sea Kayak Georgia cannot accurately assess your skill, knowledge and judgment from an off-water setting. 

I confirm and agree to the following by checking each item.

I know what I'm getting into and accept responsibility for my own actions. *

I agree to hold Sea Kayak Georgia, its owners, staff and representatives harmless for any injury or damage caused to others or myself as a result of this rental. *

I have sufficient knowledge of tides and current, wind, waves and their effects on hand powered boats and boards. I understand when and where to paddle, or not paddle, based on my experience. I have the ability to make prudent decisions based on changing wind and weather conditions. *

Renters will stay in protected waters and not venture out to sea. *

I have the necessary equipment to signal for help in the event of an emergency(cell phone). I have the ability to perform a rescue in the event of capsize. *

I have sunscreen, drinking water and any supplies that I will need during the rental. *

Equipment will be used exclusively by clients who have filled out a waiver with Sea Kayak Georgia. *

I will remain with the boats and equipment until Sea Kayak Georgia staff receives them. I will pay an additional pick up fee if I do not return at scheduled pick up times. *

I will rinse sand and mud from equipment by using river water at the end of rental time. There will be an additional fee to clean equipment, if mud and sand are left on the equipment. *

I am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, nor will be while using Sea Kayak Georgia boats and equipment. *

I accept responsibility for damage, loss and or theft of the boat and equipment I am renting. I agree to pay retail replacement cost or repair cost, at owner's discretion, for damaged, broken, or stolen boats and gear. I will not drag the boats or run over oyster beds or objects that can cause damage to the boats or equipment. *

I authorize Sea Kayak Georgia to charge my credit card for damages or loss to kayaks, gear and any equipment included in rental. *

All repair work (such as patching) will be billed $100 per hour plus materials.

Broken paddles, damaged watercraft and other equipment will be charged for replacement. 

It is solely the discretion of Sea Kayak Georgia to determine if damaged equipment will be repaired or replaced at the renter's expense.

No fee will be charged for such copy and no special hardware or software is required to view it.
