Review Finney's Tiger-Rock Martial Arts Academy Privacy Policy

 

As you know, Florida has announced  a full Phase 1 of reopening, which includes our Tiger Rock studio, effective May 18, 2020. To ensure the safety and well-being of our students and instructor team, we will be implementing a number of changes to our schedule, policies, and procedures. Please read this email carefully for important rules and changes that will be enforced upon our re-opening. We will have no choice but to send students home if they do not abide by these guidelines.

Obviously, first and foremost, if you or your child are sick please stay home. This includes persistent coughing, sneezing (even for allergies) and fevers. We can all do our part to help stop the spread of germs and COVID-19.

 

 Classes

  • We will be hosting classes in the studio on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. (At least one of these classes each day will be available on Zoom as well.)

  • We will continue to hold virtual classes on Zoom on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

  • Studio classes will be limited to 12 students, except for All/Rank Family class this will be limited to 15.

  • Classes will run for 30 minutes to allow for proper distancing and cleaning between sessions.

  • Private lessons will continue on Zoom.

  • We encourage students to attend a combination of in-studio (if comfortable) and virtual classes.

  • Gymnastics will be held in the studio on Fridays. This will be available for all levels, first come, first served, and we will not travel offsite.

 Signups

  • You MUST pre-register for an onsite class in our studio on our website - www.finneystigerrock.com. If you are not registered with a valid spot, you will not be able to attend class in the studio.

  • Look at the class description carefully - some will be separated by either age or rank. There will be an All Ranks class (except tiger cubs) available each day, to allow families to train together. 

  • You are permitted to sign up for no more than 2 onsite classes per week. This is to ensure that everyone who wants to attend a class has the opportunity to do so.

  • Signups will be available for the upcoming two-week period.

  • If you have signed up for a class and can’t attend, please be courteous and cancel with as much notice as possible. Many people want to attend studio classes , and we can alert students of a new opening. Frequent cancellation, tardiness or missed registered classes may result in the loss of onsite class privileges.

  • As always, signups are not required for Zoom classes. We still love seeing you workout in your living rooms!

  Arrival and Departure Procedures

  • All students will be required to sanitize their hands upon arrival to the studio. A bottle will be available near the front door.

  • Parents- Please drop off no more than 5 minutes before class to allow us optimal time to sanitize.

  • Parents - please drop off your students and do not congregate in the lobby. If possible, do not bring in other children or guests.

  • Instructors will sign students into class.

  • Students will line up, as usual, along the window wall. There will be stickers on the floor to designate appropriate distancing.

  • Stay nearby - classes are shorter to allow more classes per day and students will be dismissed on time.

  • Instructors will escort students under the age of 12 to your vehicles. This limits the number of people in our studio and gives us time to clean in between classes.

 Equipment

  • For the time being, DO NOT bring your sparring bags to the studio. We will not need them. (Before you do bring them, we ask that you wipe all gear with disinfecting wipes and spray down bags.)

  • Wash your shin and elbow pads, bag gloves, and mat shoes/socks. Please do this regularly and keep them in a safe, clean spot.

  • When attending class, wear your shin and elbow pads (we are in a tactical cycle) and bring your bag gloves and socks/shoes in a small (drawstring or similar) bag. Do not wear your mat shoes or socks outside the studio under any circumstances. If you have holes in your mat shoes or socks, you must order a replacement before you return to the studio.

  • Everyone should have their own clapper targets and rebreakable boards. Used clapper targets will be available for sale, first come first served, for $15. Please bring these items into class.

  • Please keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer and a ziploc bag of disinfecting wipes in your bag to help wipe off heavy bags and other shared equipment.

 Cancellation Policies: We sincerely hope that each student wishes to continue on their journey with martial arts. In the event they do not, these are our cancellation policies (which remain unchanged):

  • Cancellations must be done onsite at the studio with Mrs. Finney, at which time the cancellation form must be completed and signed. We do not accept email or phone cancellations.
  • Cancellations require 60 days notice. At the time of cancellation, the card on file (or an alternative payment type) will be charged for the full 60 days tuition.
  • Students may continue to attend classes through the 60 days notice period.
  • We do not permit the freezing of accounts, due to Tiger Rock corporate policies. If you need to temporarily leave the studio for an extended time, you must cancel with 60 days notice and rejoin at a later time. If fees have changed since your departure, you will be subject to new fees.
