Evolve Skateboards Demonstration Waiver

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING & RIDING

 

I accept full responsibility for my participation whilst undertaking activities conducted by Evolve Skateboards. I acknowledge and agree:

  1. To adhere to all directions given by Evolve staff members.
  2. To wear a helmet, enclosed footwear, and the appropriate safety gear as appointed by an Evolve staff member whilst demonstrating an Evolve Skateboards product.
  3. I understand that all demo rides will have a 12mph speed limit, and agree to use settings recommended by Evolve staff members.
  4. I know that the accelerator and brake can be sensitive, especially at higher speeds. I understand that these triggers must be handled carefully and the brake will override all other functions.
  5. I acknowledge the area I am able to ride may have potential hazards such as entering traffic, pedestrians and obstacles in the way.
  6. If I observe any unusual, significant hazards during my participation, I agree to remove myself from the activity and notify an Evolve staff member immediately; such hazards may include wet conditions, obstructions or reckless vehicles.
  7. I understand that in very rare circumstances, electric skateboards and products may fail and I must not travel faster than I am prepared to control the board without power assistance.
  8. By signing this document, I declare that I am not, and/or will not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  9. I understand that whenever you ride an electric skateboard, you risk serious injury or even death from loss of control, collisions or falls; and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious and fatal injury does exist.
  10. I acknowledge such risks, both known and unknown, and take full responsibility for my participation.
  11. I accept any charges or fees that may incur if I cause any damage to the electric skateboard through neglect, reckless riding and/or lack of respect.
  12. I understand that the recommended age to participate is 16 years and older. With parental permission and supervision, an Evolve staff member may choose to accept 14 years and older if the rider has previous board sport experience.
  13. If at any time an Evolve staff member feels that you are incapable to ride an electric skateboard, they may opt to terminate the demonstration or test ride without notice. By signing this document, I agree to accept the termination.
