Camp Elmwood Adult Overnight Campout

Please read this program policy carefully and thoroughly.

During the Camp Elmwood event, guests participating will stay for an evening, overnight, and morning portion at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA. This event will occur throughout the zoo near various species habitats in the zoo's live animal collection. Camp Elmwood guests participating must remain in designated areas and not cross any barriers in place for the protection of our animals and guests. Attempts to harass, touch, or interact with our animals in a negative manner will result in immediate forfeiture of both access to the event as well as forfeiture of all funds of purchased tickets for the evening.

On the day of the event, the zoo's Main Entrance Gate will be open from 6:00PM until 6:30PM. Admission to the event cannot be guaranteed after 8:30PM.

Outside food and/or drinks are not to be consumed within the zoo. The consumption of alcohol brought from an outside source is strictly forbidden on zoo property. Both an open bar of beer and wine, as well as dinner, a bedtime snack, and a light breakfast the next morning is included with purchase of the event ticket. All weapons are strictly prohibited and will not be permitted on Elmwood Park Zoo Property.

Elmwood Park Zoo provides a smoke-free and safe environment on its property. It is strictly forbidden to consume tobacco products including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, water pipes, cannabis, electronic smoking devices, and vaping products on zoo property. A designated smoking area will be available outside the zoo gates from 6:30PM to 11:30PM. ID and bag checks may be performed upon entry. You must be at least 21 years of age or older. 

Elmwood Park Zoo reserves the right to ask a guest participating to leave the event if, at any time, a guest’s behavior is deemed inappropriate towards or endangers the safety of the other guests, Elmwood Park Zoo staff, or the animals and infrastructure on zoo property.

Food allergies, medical conditions, and other special concerns that may impact an overnight experience must be communicated when booking so that program arrangements can be made to better accommodate the guest participating. 

In the event that Elmwood Park Zoo cancels the Camp Elmwood overnight event, a refund for the value of the Camp Elmwood event ticket will be provided. Otherwise, tickets to the Camp Elmwood event are not refundable and not transferable. 

Elmwood Park Zoo and its employees shall in no way be held responsible for any lost or stolen item, accident or injury which may occur from any cause to any person or property, before, during, or after the Camp Elmwood event except if the accident or injury is due to any wilful or negligent act, omission, or delay on the part of the Elmwood Park Zoo, Elmwood Park Zoo servants, or agents.
