Membership Terms and Conditions - GUNTRY Club is available for use by all GUNTRY Members, Guests of Members, private citizen groups and the general public. GUNTRY Club Memberships are available to provide preferred access, discounts for merchandise, services and facility use, and other benefits. GUNTRY Club Membership is subject to the Membership Terms and Conditions stated herein. Membership will be granted, and may be revoked, at the sole discretion of GUNTRY Club Management.
- As part of the consideration for Membership, the Member hereby agrees to remain a Member and pay the monthly fee associated with their membership The Member will be billed according to their membership agreement on a monthly or annualized basis. GUNTRY is entitled to recover its costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees incurred in collecting sums due to GUNTRY under this or any other Membership agreement.
- All Memberships are subject to payment of a one-time non-refundable Initiation Fee and timely payment of Monthly Fees. The Initiation Fee and Monthly Fees for each Membership may vary based on special GUNTRY promotions and Membership availability. The first payment of Monthly Fees shall include a prorated fee for the period between the date of the Membership Agreement and the last date of the current month. Membership Fees and benefits may be reviewed and adjusted by GUNTRY at any time.
- Monthly Fees will be an automatic monthly credit/debit payment from a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
- All Members, Guests, and other GUNTRY facility users must obey the GUNTRY Code of Conduct and must review, agree to the terms of, and sign the Adult Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement.
- All Guests of Members must be accompanied by the Hosting Member in order to be admitted to the range. Members are responsible for all actions taken by their Guests including but not limited to property damage, accidents and injuries to or caused by Guests of Members. All Guests of Members MUST sign the waiver, release and any additional documents required before entering the range.
- All Members and Guests are subject to the general policies and rules of operation and administration by GUNTRY, all of which are intended to provide a safe, professional, friendly and family-oriented experience.
- Any Member or Guest of a Member may be suspended or expelled from the range and/or facility for violation of the Code of Conduct or for behavior deemed unsafe by GUNTRY personnel. Decisions made by the GUNTRY Club Management regarding suspension or expulsion are final.
- A Membership may be unilaterally terminated by GUNTRY if, in the sole discretion of GUNTRY management, the conduct of a Member or the Member's Guest presents a safety hazard to the Member or to any other user or employee of GUNTRY or to GUNTRY facilities. In no event will there be any refund of any Monthly Maintenance Fees paid for months past or the Initiation Fee.
- The Membership shall be considered "abandoned" and terminated in the event of non-payment of the Monthly Maintenance Fee(s) for two consecutive months. There is no refund of any portion of the Initiation Fee or Monthly Maintenance Fees paid in the event the Membership is abandoned.
- Any destruction of GUNTRY property caused by a Member or a Member's Guest, whether accidental, negligent, and willful or otherwise, may result in the violator being removed from the range and/or facility, suspended or removed from Membership of a Member, in the event of a criminal act prosecution ever occurs. In addition, GUNTRY reserves the right to assess to the Member a reasonable charge for any such damage, regardless of whether the damage is caused by the Member or the Member's Guest.
- All Members must allow their photograph to be taken for GUNTRY.
- GUNTRY Club Membership may not be transferred or sold.
Dated: May 20, 2025Release, Indemnity and Assumption of Risk Agreement I on behalf of myself, my heirs and assigns, hereby agree that I have, at my own risk, entered on or into the property of the GUNTRY CLUB of Maryland (now referred to the “RANGE”) to observe or participate in activities at the RANGE. These activities at the RANGE include, but are not limited to, the use and discharge of firearms, as well as services and training by employees at the RANGE. hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily sought to enter onto and to engage in or to observe shooting and other activities at the range (the “RANGE”) of the GUNTRY Club of Maryland (the “GUNTRY”). I further acknowledge and understand that the “shooting and other activities” includes any and all activates of any kind whatsoever in which I engage or observe while at the RANGE, whether sponsored by GUNTRY or not. I ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT SHOOTING ACTIVITIES ARE INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS and involve both known and unanticipated risks which could result in damage or destruction of property and physical or emotional injury, including paralysis or death, or myself or of another person. The risks include but are not limited to: being shot by or shooting myself or others; partial or total loss of eyesight or hearing; inhalation or other harmful contact with lead or other contaminants; and being struck by flying or falling objects. I understand that such risk cannot be eliminated without compromising the essential qualities of shooting activities. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT the nature and condition of the RANGE facilities, premises and environment is such that both known and unanticipated hazards exist which create or contribute to both known and unanticipated risks inherent in entering on to the RANGE, in using RANGE facilities and in engaging in or observing any activities of any kind whatsoever while at the RANGE. I understand that such hazards and risks cannot be eliminated without compromising the essential qualities of the RANGE facilities, equipment, premises and environment. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT the GUNTRY makes no warranty as to the design, manufacture, condition or fitness for any particular purpose of any RANGE facilities or equipment, including, but limited to: firearms, ammunition, eye/hearing protection, ventilation systems, bullet traps, target retrievers, and first-aid supplies. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT the GUNTRY has no duty to undertake first-aid or rescue operations or procedures in the event any such property damage or physical or emotional injury occurs, and that any such operations or procedures may result in compounded or increased damages or injuries. As lawful consideration for being permitted by GUNTRY to enter onto the RANGE, to use the RANGE facilities or equipment and/or to engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the RANGE, I agree as to the following: I EXPRESSLY AGREE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS EXISITNG ON THE RANGE AND IN ENTERING ON TO THE RANGE AND/OR IN USING RANGE FACILITES OR EQUIPMENT AND IN ENGAGING IN OR OBSERVING SHOOTING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AT THE RANGE. I AGREE TO ABIDE BY ALL GUNTRY CODE OF CONDUCT AND RANGE RULES. I SWEAR and/or AFFIRM that I am of good character and moral standing and am legally entitled to possess and/or purchase a firearm. I have no criminal convictions, pending criminal charges, indictments nor do I suffer from any form of mental illness that would prohibit me form legally and safely possessing and using a firearm, or would be determined or dangerous to me or others while utilizing the facilities at GUNTRY. I ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT if I have provided any false statement or information, my privileges will be immediately revoked with the complete and total forfeiture of any fees paid to the GUNTRY. I AGREE that I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives and assigns HEREBY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE GUNTRY (I understand “GUNTRY” includes any and all officers, directors, attorneys, agents, employees, contractors, volunteers, guests, and affiliated individuals or organizations of GUNTRY) from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, expenses, causes of action, attachments of property, or liability of any kind whatsoever, that I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives or assigns may have for property damage, personal injury or death resulting from me entering on to the RANGE, using RANGE facilities or equipment, or engaging in or observing shooting and other activities at the RANGE, even if such claims, demands, damages, expenses, causes of action, attachment of property, or liability result partially or wholly from any act or acts, even any negligent act or omission to act, including negligent or omitted first-aid or rescue operations or procedures, by GUNTRY. I AGREE that I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives and assigns HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS GUNTRY from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, expenses, causes of action, attachment of property of lability of any kind whatsoever, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, that I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives or assigns may have for property damage, personal injury or death resulting from me entering on to the RANGE, using RANGE facilities or equipment, or engaging in or observing shooting and other activities at the RANGE, even if such claims, demands, damages, expenses, causes of cation, attachment of property, or liability result partially or wholly from any act or acts, even any negligent act or omission to act, including negligent or omitted first-aid or rescue operations or procedures, by GUNTRY. I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that this AGREEMENT shall be interpreted and enforced under the laws of the State of Maryland, and that the venue for any action or proceeding shall be the State of Maryland, without regard for the conflict of law rules for the State of Maryland. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that this AGREEMENT is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law, and that if any provision or portion is held to be valid, void or otherwise unenforceable, I agree and intend that the remaining provisions or portion continue and remain in full legal force and effect. I HEREBY confirm that I AM IN GOOD HEALTH and have NO LIMITATIONS that would or might make it unsafe for me to be a Participant/Guest/Observer at the RANGE. I agree to inform GUNTRY in writing below, before becoming a Participant/Guest/Observer of using RANGE, of any limitations, physical or otherwise, which would or might make it unsafe or inadvisable for me to perform any particular types of activities or exercises. To the extent I develop or become aware of any such Limitations while being a Participant/Guest/Observer of GUNTRY or feel that any GUNTRY activities or programs are ones in which I cannot safely participate. I agree that I will immediately call this situation to the attention of GUNTRY and that I WILL NOT PERFORM ANY ACTIVITY OR PROGRAM WHICH I FEEL IS UNSAFE FOR ME TO PERFORM, OR WHICH IS BEYOND MY PHYSICAL OR MENTAL CAPABILITIES, SKILL LEVEL, OR LEVEL OF TRAINING. I UNDERSTAND that my activities on the RANGE or on GUNTRY property may be photographed, videotaped and/or otherwise captured electronically by GUNTRY. I hereby grant GUNTRY all rights to use my image and likeness for the purpose of advertising. I understand that use of my image and likeness will be for advertising purposes. This use includes publishing in magazines, advertising, videos, internet websites, social media or other means, as long as it not altered to show other than actual activities in a way that could be harmful to my character. All publications will be done tastefully and with integrity. I FORFEIT any and all rights to any CLAIMS relating to the use of my image or likeness, as described above. All photographs, videos, or other electronically captured media taken at or in GUNTRY remain the property of GUNTRY and may not be used or reproduced without the express written permission of the GUNTRY management. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that this AGREEMENT that it is my understanding and intent this AGREEMENT, and any signed written amendments or modifications to it, shall remain in full force and effect from the date of execution and ever after and shall be applicable to each and every occasion that I enter on to the RANGE, use RANGE facilities or equipment or engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the RANGE. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTAND that the RANGE is an indoor shooting facility which utilizes a series of component parts, including a bullet trap to decelerate discharged ammunition; however, I understand that these component parts and bullet traps of that RANGE, may, in some instances, contain bullets and bullet fragments and has been known to cause ricochets which could possibly cause serious personal injury. Always allows make sure to adhere to the Range Safety Officer’s (RSO) instructions to avoid dangerous instances. I represent that to the best of my knowledge, information and belief that: a. I am not currently under indictment or information in any court of a crime that could be punished by more than one year in jail. b. I have never been convicted in any court of a crime that could have been punished by more than one year in jail, regardless of the actual sentence imposed. c. I am not a fugitive from justice. d. am not an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance. e. I am not under the influence of alcohol or any lawful drug that may impair my abilities and I have not consumed any alcohol or lawful drug that may impair my abilities within the last eight (8) hours. f. I have never been adjudicated mentally defective or committed to a mental institution. g. I have never been dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces. h. I am not subject to a court order restraining me from harassing, stalking, or threatening my child or an intimate partner or child of such a partner. i. I have never been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime for domestic violence or probation before judgement. j. I have never renounced my United States citizenship. k. I am not an alien illegally in the United States. l. I have no unlawful, illegal, wrongful or otherwise deceitful intentions in executing this Agreement or in utilizing GUNTRY and, if applicable, firearms, ammunition and other GUNTRY property. m. I have never been convicted of a felony, anywhere. Maryland law prohibits any person convicted of a felony to possess a firearm or be in any environment where firearms are present. I further acknowledge and agree that this Agreement, shall remain in full force and effect from the date of execution and ever after, including any signed written amendments or modifications to it, shall be applicable to each and every occasion that I enter the RANGE, use the Range facilities or equipment, as well as participate or observe in any activities at the RANGE. I UNDERSATND THAT BY MY SIGNATURE I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS, THAT I AM AGREEING NOT TO SUE GUNTRY AND RELEASING AND HOLDING HARMLESSGUNTRY OF ALL LIABILITY. I EXECUTE THIS DOCUMENT AND THE RELEASES SET FORTH WITHIN IT FOR FULL, ADEQUATE AND COMLETE CONSIDERATION, FULLY INTENDING TO BE BOUND TO THE CONTENTS OF THIS DOCUMENT. I have carefully read the “RELEASE, INDEMNITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT” and fully know its contents. I acknowledge that no other oral representation, inducement, assurance or guarantee has been made to me in consideration of my signing this AGREEMENT, which I sign voluntarily and or my own free will. I further acknowledge and agree that this AGREEMENT may be amended and modified only by a writing signed by me and by an authorized agent of GUNTRY. Range Rules Welcome to GUNTRY, safety is very important to us, please read our range rules: - You must check in at the counter immediately upon entering the range and produce valid identification (valid driver’s license, passport, concealed carry permit, student ID).
- All firearms must be unloaded and enclosed in a range bag or case from the parking lot to your assigned shooting lane.
- All firearms will be uncased on the firing line.
- Everyone, regardless of experience, who use the GUNTRY Club of Maryland ranges will receive a range safety orientation and complete all required paperwork. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All Federal, State, and Local firearms laws must be obeyed at all times.
- All State and Federal certified law enforcement officers carrying a concealed weapon must provide Law Enforcement identification upon entry. All firearms MUST be holstered and concealed.
- Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) must be used when firearms are not in service.
- All certified law enforcement officers must unload firearms on the shooting line under the direction of the RSO or designee. All others, including armed security guards and CCW permit holders, are prohibited from carrying loaded weapons into the range facility.
- For safety reasons, loaded firearms and ammunition are prohibited in certain areas. These areas include but are NOT limited to: classrooms, simulator room, and training rooms
- You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a firearm.
- Anyone under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by a Guardian, 21 years of age or older, who MUST sign a waiver.
- Only two shooters allowed inside the booth in the gun range.
- A Range Safety Officer (RSO) will be onsite at all times. A Range Safety Officer’s responsibility is to maintain safety and enforce the rules at all times. Our experienced staff of RSO’s will be happy to assist you in any situation.
- Eye protection and ear protection MUST be worn at all times while inside the gun ranges.
- All targets must be placed at eye level.
- Only aimed fire is permitted on the range to ensure rounds are going directly into the backstop/bullet trap.
- ALL ammunition will be inspected prior to lane assignment.
- ALL handgun caliber ammunition is permitted on the 25-yard range.
- ALL rifle ammunition up to and including .30 cal is permitted on the 25-yard range
- Ammunition up to but NOT including .50 cal is permitted on the rifle ranges. V2.9.26
- Shotguns, without a shoulder stock, is NOT allowed. ONLY slugs are permitted to be used in shotguns.
- Incendiary, tracer, and steel core ammunition is NOT permitted on the range.
- ALL ammunition MUST be boxed, and ALL magazines unloaded.
- You MUST purchase ammunition from the GUNTRY Club for all rental guns.
- Automatic fire MUST be approved and supervised by the Range Safety Officer (restricted during peak hours).
- Only two-second controlled burst are permitted on all ranges.
- Only Law Enforcement Officers may draw from a holster and MUST be pre-approved by the Range Safety Officer (restricted during peak hours). All others must complete a “holster draw course” provided by a GUNTRY Club instructor, for a charge, prior to being allowed to draw from a holster.
- ALL lane usage is limited to the following times:
- Monday through Thursday: 2 hours maximum
- Friday through Sunday: 1 hour maximum
- Additional range time subject to availability.
- As a courtesy to the next shooter, sweep your casings past the firing line after shooting.
- NEVER MOVE BEYOND THE RED FIRING LINE! If you drop equipment over the line, request the Range Safety Officer’s assistance.
- Upon the command “CEASE FIRE”, ALL shooting MUST stop IMMEDIATELY. Place all firearms on the shooting bench and await instructions from the Range Safety Officer.
- All range rules are subject to change without notice.
- The GUNTRY Club of Maryland Management or Designee may reserves the right to suspend or revoke memberships based on the following violations: Range Rules, Code of Conduct.
- The GUNTRY Club of Maryland Management or Designee may refuse the use of the ranges or premises to any person, for any reason.
Safety is everyone's responsibility. If you observe unsafe handling of firearms or strange behavior, please report it to the Range Safety Officer or a GUNTRY Club employee IMMEDIATELY. |
