Spray Tan Waiver
Spray tanning is accomplished by application of a solution containing the active ingredient: DHA (Dihydroxyacetone). DHA is generally considered to be safe and has been FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved ONLY if you follow guidelines to protect mucous membranes. Therefore, it is recommended that you take protective measures to eliminate eye contact, inhalation or ingesting during your spray tan session, such as:
Using protective eyewear, wearing nose filters, sealing lips with lip balm, and using protective garments
Nose filters will be provided as part of your spray tan session. Male clients are required to wear undergarments. Female clients may wear whatever they are comfortable in. Disposable undergarments are available by request. You may also use your own protective items.
Spray tanning is accomplished by application of a solution containing the active ingredient DHA. According to the FDA, DHA is a color additive for use in imparting color to the human body. However, it is used in cosmetics (including sunless “tanning” products) and is restricted to external application only and should not be inhaled or ingested internally.
The solution used by Ready Set Tan is made with only FDA approved ingredients and is all natural. Therefore, an allergic reaction is highly unlikely. However, if you do feel that there is a small risk for a reaction to the solution, by signing this form you waive Ready Set Tan of any liability relating to such reaction.
For this reason, we do NOT advise being sprayed for the first time when your appearance is critical (wedding/special occasion/prom) Please schedule a trial session 30 days before your event, for best results.
Warning: The effects of the spray tan ingredient DHA on pregnant or nursing women is unknown. Pregnant or nursing women should consult their physician before their session.
Warning: This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburns. Repeat sun exposure with unprotected skin while sun tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects even if you do not burn.
