Please read carefully and acknowledge that you understand and agree to follow these Covid related precautions stated below or any new ones that may arise between now and your tour starting.
Please note that these procedures are subject to change between now and your tour's start date depending on any new information that comes to hand.
Transport in the support Van:
We’ll require you to wear a face mask and sanitize your hands when travelling in the van.
We will sanitize the hard surfaces and door handles of our van once per day and as needed.
We’ll require you to sit in the same seat for the duration of the tour.
We’ll require you to fill out a pre tour Covid questionnaire before entering the van on the first day.
Support Trailer and Bike Handling:
The guide will handle your bikes in and out the bike trailer and will wear a mask and gloves.
When arriving at the various rest stops during the tour please put your bike on the provided bike rack which will be spaced out appropriately next to the trailer
Snacks / Food / Water / Supplies from the support trailer:
We will sanitize the surface of the snack table after every rest stop.
Only one person at a time to be around the snack table (2 ok if you’re a couple)
Snacks will be prepared by a masked and gloved guide before the tour and will be packed into ziplock bags. Please only touch what you are going to eat.
We’ll require you to sanitize your hands before touching anything on the snack table.
Please distance yourself from others appropriately during rest stops and various safety briefings.
We have an inbuilt water tank in the support trailer. Please hold your water bottle below (not touching) the spout and the guide will activate the water flow from inside the support trailer.
Lunches will be individually wrapped and supplied from hotel restaurants en-route.
Bring your own suncream / bug spray / electrolyte supplements and keep handy in your day bags.
The 2 way radios that we supply to you will be sanitized at the end of each day.
Post ride snacks won’t be supplied this year. The hotels we stay at have drinks and snacks in their gift shops available to purchase or you could bring your own. Dinner at the onsite resturant will be provided shortly after we get settled at the hotel.
Please bring your own water bottles. We wont have spares available for you to use this season.
Hotels and hotel meals (Breakfast and Dinner)
The hotels we stay at are already geared up for covid related precautions and have their own set of procedures to help keep us safe. Please follow any directions they give you in this regard.
Dinner and Breakfast will be served to us from the hotel resturant that we stay at along the way. Usually we would eat as a group but probably not this year. Other options such as ordering your meal to your room and eating outside appropriately spaced may also be available. Please check with your guide for accurate procedures as each place will be slightly different and we’ll know more once we arrive.
Visiting scenic view points / attractions along the route:
We’ll need to distance ourselves from other groups of people at scenic view points / rest stops
If various view points / rest stops are deemed to be too crowded a quieter spot will be found.
A masked and gloved guide will handle all overnight luggage into the back of the van. At the hotels, luggage will be spread out next to the trailer for you to take to your rooms after you arrive.
You will be responsible for handling one smaller bag which can be closed up with essential supplies for use during the day which will be placed on your seat in the van. You will be responsible for the movements this bag during the tour. The overnight bags will not be accessible during the day so make sure you have anything you need whilst on the bike in this bag.
Riding on the road:
Ride at least 2m away from each other unless you’re a couple. Masks wont be required when riding.
Bike repairs / Bike Cleaning during the tour:
If you’re bringing your own bike please make sure it is in great condition to reduce the need for us to work on your bike.
If renting a bike from us we’ll take care of this for you.
If the guide needs to work on a bike, gloves and a mask will be worn and bike will be sanitized before and after.
Twin share accommodations for 2 singles: (Not applicable for couples).
The Beds in Twin share rooms may be spaced closer than 2 meters apart. Consider booking the single supplement which will get you a room to yourself if uncomfortable with this arrangement.
To further reduce the risk to yourself and others on the tour from catching or transmitting Covid we’ll require you to have had at least one shot of a Covid vaccine before the tour starts. Please show the guide / driver a screenshot of your online Covid vaccine record or your paper vaccination record before getting in the van.
