Participation in Activities – Important Disclaimer Notice Farncombe Estate offers various activities for your enjoyment including clay shooting, archery, crossbow archery, axe throwing and the ultimate terrain experience. Each of these activities are physically challenging and carry risks of serious injury that cannot be eliminated completely. These include the risk of personal injuries such as slip, trips and falls, contact with other participants, acts or omissions of other participants (including their use of equipment) and the effects of the weather. General rules for all activities - Each activity has a stipulated minimum age that you must be over at the time of the event. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- You agree that you are responsible for children in your care.
- You, and any children in your care (participants), must act responsibly and sensibly at all times during all activities that you, and/or they, participate in.
- You must not participate in any activity if you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. The same applies to any children in your care.
- Participants will follow all safety warnings, instructions and rules displayed or given by a member of staff both before and during all activities participated in. You understand, and will make clear to any children in your care, that a failure to follow all such safety warnings, instructions and rules could result in a serious injury.
- Participants must wear sensible clothing which is appropriate for the relevant activity. Open-toed footwear is not permitted for any activity.
- Participants will wear all safety clothing or equipment provided at all times during the activity until advised otherwise by a member of staff.
- If participants are in any way unclear or unsure on the safety aspects of an activity, the instructions given in relation to an activity or the specific rules relating to that activity they must ask a member of staff or the activity instructor before taking part in that activity.
- We are not qualified to express an opinion that participants are fit to safely participate. You must obtain professional or specialist advice from your doctor before participating in any activity. However, you will abide by any decision of a member of staff relating to your ability, or the ability of any children in your care, to participate in any activity and accept that any such decision does not constitute a qualified opinion given by us.
In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us, participation in activities at Farncombe Estate is entirely at your own risk. Use of Equipment You are responsible for using, and shall ensure that all children in your care use, all equipment safely and only as directed by us. You, and the children in your care, must behave sensibly and follow any and all safety instructions so as not to hurt or injure yourself or others. In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us, the use of our machinery, equipments or facilities is entirely at your own risk. Loss or Damage to Personal Property Our car park and changing facilities are not supervised and monitored at all times. You must take reasonable precautions to avoid the loss or damage of your personal property or belongings, including not leaving such items unattended or in lockers or cars. In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us, we are not responsible for any theft, damage, destruction or loss of your personal property or belongings while using our facilities.
