Hello Tuxedo Members,
As our facility and programs begin to re-open, we have been providing advice on how to best manage the risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Information and questions around the rules and regulations you need to follow in regards the COVID19 pandemic can be found on an Alberta Government web page: https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx . Changes are occurring all the time; we recommend you check this website regularly.
The assessment of risk around any program or activity has always been:
- What is the best way to limit injury or risk to the public you are serving
- What is the best way to limit injury or risk to the volunteers or employees that are offering the program or activity.
- And now with Covid-19 you should add in how to minimize the chances of anyone becoming infected with Covid-19. This ‘anyone’ could be your membership, the public or your volunteers and employees.
The Alberta government has set out rules and guidelines to follow which will limit the ability and reduce the likelihood for anyone to become infected with Covid-19. Again, these rules and regulations can be found on an Alberta Government webpage: https://www.alberta.ca/biz-connect.aspx
There is no requirement within our insurance policy to post signs or request waivers prior to re-opening our programs or facilities. However, it is recommended you do so in terms of best practices to manage the risk. We have also created an additional questionnaire/waiver to help promote safety and reduce liability to the community.
We hope this is helpful.
All the best,
Tuxedo Park Community Association
