Liability release

Between Explore Lysefjorden and the undersigned person (You/Your).

By signing this Liability Release Agreement, YOU acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Hikes and tours offered by Explore Lysefjorden are adventurous in nature, involving inherent and significant personal risks.
  2. YOUR guide is here to reduce said risks. YOU agree to follow all safety and equipment instructions given by the guide. This also means that if the guide determines that YOU are neither skilled nor physically fit enough to safely complete the hike, the guide has the authority and duty to turn you around at an early stage. In such a case, YOU will not be eligible for a refund.
  3. YOU fully assume all responsibility for all risks related to to this tour, including the possibility of damages/loss of property, personal injury, or death.
  4. YOU waive all potential future claims against Explore Lysefjorden and release Explore Lysefjorden for all liability, as stated in our general conditions of contract.*
  5. YOU possess adequate personal travel and medical insurance, covering all activities and risks involved in this tour, including during transportation.
  6. YOU are fit, healthy, and have provided us with all information about any relevant personal medical issues.
  7. Norwegian law applies to this liability release agreement, as well as all to other legal concerns between YOU and Explore Lysefjorden.
  8. YOU explicitly consent Explore Lysefjorden collects the information below to safely execute the tour and generate anynomous tour and guest statistics.
  9. YOUR e-mail address can be used for marketing purposes, solely by Explore Lysefjorden. None of YOUR information will be shared with third parties.
  10. Any photographs Explore Lysefjorden may take of YOU can be used for marketing purposes by Explore Lysefjorden. However, Explore Lysefjorden may accommodate requests for exceptions to this.
