Adoption Application

All persons interested in adopting a horse from 3Sisters Equine Refuge are required to complete the application in full.

NOTE: All adopters must be 28 or older, financially and physically able to provide the proper care to the adopted horse.

I understand that the adoption agreement is a lifetime commitment.


Adopters may NOT sell the adopted horse. If the adopter cannot or does not wish to continue to care for the adopted horse, 3Sisters Equine Refuge MUST be notified and will help find a solution, whether arrangements are made to transfer the adoption to another approved adopter or the horse is returned to 3 Sisters Equine Rescue. 


I understand and agree to submit both written and visual updates on the adopted horse at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after adoption and then yearly. All updates must include the horse’s location, feeding info, how and what the horse has been doing, and clear, good quality full body photo(s) without tack or blanket. 


I agree that the adopted horse is NEVER, under any circumstances, to be sold at any auction, to a horse dealer.


I agree to a site visit by 3 Sisters Equine Rescue. 


3Sisters Equine Refuge reserves the right to pursue legal action towards the adopter should any of the above occur.
