Training Agreement

Thank you for choosing Red Horse Training LLC to help you learn how to ride horses. We are excited to work with you! Please take a moment to give us your information and complete our rider release form and training agreement.

The Client and The Company agree as follows:

1. The Services

A. Red Horse Training LLC will provide clients with access to riding lessons per month, and the lessons will either be 30-minute privates or 1 hour groups.  In addition, Red Horse Training LLC will provide a minimum of two unmounted group horsemanship classes per month in person or virtually.
B. Red Horse Training LLC will provide riding instruction
C. Riders will be automatically grouped together with riders of similar ability and level.  This is paramount to our barn culture and philosophy of creating a community that encourages camaraderie, friendship and support.  We feel this leads to higher quality riding, lessons, and just plain more fun.
D. Beginner riders will start with a 30 minute private lesson until their instructor recommends they are ready to join an appropriate group lesson.


2. Client Requirements

A. Client Must show up on time.
B. Client must be wearing proper riding attire- boots with heels and jeans
C. Clients must be coachable, positive, and have a good attitude!
D. We are trying to build a family-like community full of people like YOU, and after the 4th lesson we generally like to ask for the name of 1 person who you would like us to contact and invite to join the program. 


3. Compensation and Payment

A. Clients will put a credit or debit card on file, and it will be automatically charged tuition per month - if the client owns or leases their own horse.  If a client does not own or lease their own horse- they can get access to our lesson horse pool for an additional $70 per month. Charges will begin on the first day of enrollment and continue every month thereafter.  If a client needs to change the credit card on file, please contact Caitlin at 502-552-6510 or change the card in person. 


4. Scheduling

A. Client will receive a dedicated time and a day of the week where there will be an appropriate school horse and with a group of riders with similar ability reserved each week
B. If a client cannot make their time during a week. Red Horse Training riding stables will allow a maximum of one makeup lesson per month.  All makeup lessons will take place on Saturdays at 2pm or another time scheduled with Caitlin. If a lesson is not made up within 30 days it will expire.   Monthly tuition is still due in full when a student misses their lessons.  In the event that the weather prevents riding- unmounted horsemanship lessons will be substituted.  The best way to get the most value out of the program is to make it a priority and a commitment not to miss your dedicated lesson time(s)
C. If a client would like to make a long-term change to their dedicated lesson time, they may do so a maximum of 1 time in a 90-day period by calling or texting 502-552-6510 and leaving a voicemail or talking to Caitlin in person during the lesson.


5.  Cancellation.

This agreement may be cancelled by either party with at least 7 days’ notice prior to the desired date of termination. For client to cancel the payment- please text or leave a voicemail at 502-552-6510


6.  Additional Services

All services outside the scope of this agreement that are requested by the client and which the company agrees to perform will be automatically charged to the credit/debit card on file at the time of service with the following rates.  Below are the rates for additional services outside of this agreement.

Additional Group Lesson:  $45
Additional 30-minute Private Lesson:  $45
Additional 2 Hour Clinic Lesson offered on Saturdays: $65
Additional Hour Private: $90 (Only 5-hour long privates are offered throughout the week)
Schooling ride on your horse: $60

6.A Horse Shows

Client will make an estimated 50% non-refundable deposit of horse show fees 2 weeks prior to leaving for a show to hold their spot.  If for some reason the client cancels- deposits are non-refundable.  The deposit will automatically be charged to the credit card on file.  After the horse-show the expenses will be finalized, and the remainder will be charged to the credit card on file and will be invoiced through quickbooks, payments for shows will also be accepted through venmo.

Horse show fees include: 

Hauling:  $2.50 per mile each way (split between how many horses are loaded on the trailer) with a $100 minimum charge
Coaching Fee:  $100 per day per horse.
Lease Fee:  $100 per day if not currently in a horse lease, for local events only.
Price varies per event.


7. No Guarantee

The company does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results.  The results of your riding program are largely based on the efforts of the student.


8.  Communications

Client agrees to communicate all scheduling changes or any other concerns about the program either through the barn telephone at 502-552-6510 or email info@redhorsetraining.com


9. Release of Liability

I acknowledge the risks and potential for risks of horseback riding and activities in and around a facility where horses are kept, and farm machinery operated.  However, I feel that the possible benefits to me/my son/my daughter/my ward are greater than the risk assumed.  Intending legally to bind myself, my heirs, and assigns, executors or administrators, I hereby waive and release forever all claims for loss or damages of any kind against Caitlin Halliwell, Red Horse Training LLC, and all employees of Red Horse Training LLC, for any and all injuries and losses that I/my son/my daughter/my ward may sustain while participating.  This release includes without limitation the risk of negligent instruction and supervision. I engage in activities at 2303 Aiken rd., Shelbyville, KY 40065 voluntarily with knowledge of the risks of horseback riding and I assume all risks of injury, death, and property damage that may result. I agree to bear any loss myself. I acknowledge that Caitlin Halliwell is materially relying on this waiver and assumption of risk in allowing me/my son/my daughter/my ward to participate in activities at Red Horse Training LLC, 2303 Aiken rd. Shelbyville, KY 40065.
