Parade Participant Rules: • Alcoholic and/or Cannabis is strictly prohibited • Parade coordinator reserves the right to reject any impaired, inappropriate and/or threatening individuals • Griz Days Parade is a community event and therefore any inappropriate (profanity, swearing, degrading, threatening) music, attire, signage, messages, graphics, or attire unsuitable for viewing by our family audience is not acceptable • Parade Participants (Vehicles/Floats/Walking/Animal Groups) are responsible for cleaning up any mess (garbage, animal feces, paper etc) left from their float, animals, walking group or otherwise. Not doing so will result in a fine. • Candy or promotional items are NOT to be thrown and are to be handed out by a walking participant along the parade route. T-Shirt Guns are NOT permitted in the parade as of 2024. • The use of fire, gas, or propane devices is not permitted • All parade vehicle drivers must have a valid driver’s license • It is the responsibility of the float organizers to provide adequate safety measures to secure the individuals riding on their float • All minors participating in the parade must be under adult supervision at all times with organizations ensuring there are enough adults to accompany minors walking beside the floats or in walking groups • Participants must not get on or off moving floats or vehicles or dangle their legs off the edge of floats or vehicles while in procession • Parade Participants (Vehicles/Floats/Walking/Animal Groups) must keep moving at a steady walking pace and not stop on the parade route, or in any way hinder the forward procession of the parade. Do not create a gap and then accelerate to close it. This will cause disruption to any following participants. • Parade Participants are responsible for the observation of safety standards • Parade Participants (Vehicles/Floats/Walking/Animal Groups) are to follow the parade route including staging and endpoint/dismantle area VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE PARADE The signature below represents all those included in their organization and participants as part of this agreement.
