Ciel et Bois agrees to rent to the Event Organizer the property located 80 Rue Dupéré, Cantley, QC. 1. Use of Property - The Event Organizer agrees to use the property for personal use or pre-approved events only.
- The Event Organizer is responsible for ensuring that everyone staying at the Property overnight, as well as all visitors, adhere to the rental terms and conditions.
- Overnight stay maximum 20 people allowed (includes adults and children)
- For pre-approved day events — a maximum of 30 people are allowed, including all staff and helpers
2. Payment Payment can be made by credit card, e-transfer (within Canada), wire transfer or cheque. All bookings are priced in Canadian dollars. All services and bookings at Ciel et Bois are subject to federal and provincial sales tax. These will be indicated on your invoice. - Federal tax (GST) is 5%
- Quebec’s provincial sales tax (QST) is 9.975%
- Quebec lodging tax is 3.5%
Payment Schedule - If booked more than 6 months in advance, a 25% non-refundable deposit is due upon booking to reserve your event.
- Balance is due 6 months before the event start date.
3. Cancellation Policy - Cancellation by Event Organizer
- 60 days or more before check-in: We will refund the Event Organizer the total amount paid minus the 25% non-refundable deposit
- Less than 60 but more than 14 days before the check-in: We will refund the Event Organizer 25% of the total reservation cost
- 14 days or less before check-in, or during the stay: No refunds
- Cancellation by Ciel et Bois: Ciel et Bois reserves the right to cancel the reservation in circumstances that are beyond our control (ex. natural disaster). In such cases, the Guest will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
PLEASE NOTE: We have a clear cancellation policy and we stick to it. We don't make exceptions due to weather. As soon as you book, we start preparing for your visit, including turning away other groups. Please keep the cancellation policy in mind when booking, and if you're concerned about it, we recommend purchasing travel insurance. 4. Responsibilities and Conduct - PLANNED EVENTS vs. UNAUTHORIZED PARTIES: You can't have any guests visit the property during your stay without the host's prior consent. If you have an unauthorized party, we'll cancel your reservation with no refund.
- MORE ABOUT PARTIES...SORRY We respect our neighbours and want to contribute positively to the local community. We have noise level sensors outside as well as security cameras (outside only).
- SMOKING OUTSIDE ONLY: Please no smoking of any kind inside. If our cleaners find any evidence of smoking, we will charge you for cleaning costs and damages. If smoking outside, please dispose of butts and roaches in an ashtray.
- FIRES IN FIRE PIT ONLY: Please only have fires in the outdoor fire pit. We supply firewood.
- NO LOUD MUSIC OUTSIDE: Please refrain from playing loud music outside.
- FIREWORKS NOT ALLOWED: Please no fireworks at all. If we find any evidence or reports that anybody on site during your stay used fireworks, we'll cancel your stay immediately with no refund and we'll pursue damages.
5. Safety and Liability We prioritize and care about the safety and health of our guests and staff. We've set up Ciel et Bois to be a secure and comfortable location. However, there are risks with going anywhere and Ciel et Bois is not responsible in the event of injury or loss. Please agree to the following points: - Ciel et Bois is surrounded by woods and nature and injuries or death can occur as a result of environmental risks (examples: storms, lightning), falling trees, trips and falls, the negligence of other guests and staff, motor vehicle accidents, encounters with wildlife, drowning, and more.
- Injury, loss, and death can also occur inside any buildings and structures.
- Guests, staff, contractors, and anybody on site are responsible for their own safety and for their belongings.
6. Insurance Ciel et Bois’ insurance will not cover personal medical expenses or loss of belongings. 7. Termination Ciel et Bois reserves the right to terminate this agreement and require the Guest to vacate the property immediately if the Guest violates any terms of this agreement or local laws. 8. Governing Law This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Quebec. 9. Entire Agreement This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, agreements, and understandings, whether written or oral, regarding the property. 10. Signatures By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. |
