Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

The purpose of this optional waiver is to limit the renter’s liability for damages to the rental vehicle, in the case of a collision, to the amount of the deposit. That is $1,000 or $1,500 for most vehicles. (Select vehicles have a deposit of $3500, $5000 or more.)

That means if an individual is renting a qualifying vehicle and pays an additional $25 per day, they could destroy the vehicle and Wolf Creek Motorsports rentals would just keep their deposit. They would not be liable for the cost of damages in excess of the deposit, or the cost of replacing the vehicle.

If the repairs cost less than the deposit, the CDW would not change anything. It becomes effective when dealing with damages that cost more than the deposit.

Some rental vehicles are not eligible for the CWD. The renter’s personal insurance would likely be the best option if they rented one of those vehicles.

 

What this waiver does NOT do:

This collision damage waiver does not release the renter from all liability for all expenses regarding an incident while operating a rental vehicle from Wolf Creek Motorsport rentals.

This waiver does not cover theft, any medical expenses, emergency response expenses, damage to other vehicles or property that is not owned by Wolf Creek Motorsport Rentals, or towing services provided by Wolf Creek Motorsport Rentals or anyone else.

This waiver does not limit or waive the renter’s liability for repairs due to vehicle misuse or abuse. The CDW is void in cases of misuse and abuse.

This waiver does not cover tires. The renter must still agree that the tires on the rental vehicle were in good condition at checkout. The renter is liable to pay for the cost of repairs in the case of a flat tire, and also in the case of excessive wear due to burnouts or misuse.

COST of CDW: $25 PER DAY, PER VEHICLE, plus TAX 

Renter: “I agree to the terms of this waiver and wish to pay for the CDW”
