 By signature below, intending to be legally bound hereby, the undersigned (“Customer”) acknowledges full and complete satisfaction by SUMNER GUN & SUPPLY powered by ARES TACTICAL LLC, (“The Company”) of all claims, demands, damages, and liabilities based on Customer’s participation at The Company; waives, cancels, remises and forever discharges any obligation or liability of The Company for any claim based on Customer’s participation at the Shooting Range or Taking Instruction; and does hereby absolutely and unequivocally release from any liability and hold harmless The Company and any of its employees, instructors, agents, representatives, officers or members of the board in regard to any use of the property or facilities of The Company. This release is for any and all liability for personal injuries (including death) and property losses or damage occasioned by, or in connection with any activity or accommodations on SUMNER GUN & SUPPLY powered by ARES TACTICAL LLC’S property. Customer further agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of SUMNER GUN & SUPPLY powered by ARES TACTICAL LLC, and agrees to pay for any and all damages caused by their firearms, ammunition, vehicle or self and/or guests. Customer further understands that shooting can be dangerous and will at all times exercise safe gun handling practices. Specifically, while having ANY repair or engraving work done, you agree that you have agreed to the risks involved in any and all engraving to include, but not limited to: imperfections, quality of final product, differences between perceived image and final product, accidental damage or any other shortcomings of the engraving or repair process. Be it know that you are releasing.

RANGE RULES AND CONSIDERATIONS

Preliminary Considerations

  • All firearms that are not holstered should be cased in an unloaded position while going to or from the range.
  • Display your unloaded and cleared firearm to the Range Counter Attendant as well as the ammunition you intend to use on the range.
  • Only authorized firearms and ammunition may be used. Steel core, Armor-piercing (green tip), tracer, and incendiary (blue tip) rifle rounds are strictly prohibited.
  • Let the Range Counter Employee know if you've never fired a gun before. In addition to being humbled that you've chosen to shoot with us, we want to ensure you are comfortable on the range.
  • Eye and ear protection is mandatory on the range. If you don't have your own, both are available in store for purchase.

Range Safety Rules

  • All firearms must be unloaded, in a closed container or holster when entering or exiting the range facility.
  • All shooting must take place either sitting at the shooter's bench or standing at the shooter's bench, There shall be no shooting of any kind below the bench.
  • Load and handle firearms only at shooting stall.
  • Always keep the muzzle pointed downrange.
  • Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the range.
  • Only one person may shoot at a time with a maximum of three persons per shooting stall.
  • Only authorized firearms and ammunition may be used.
  • Steel core, tracer, and incendiary rounds are strictly prohibited.
  • Maximum caliber is 30-06 unless otherwise stated. 
  • No bump fire and or slide fire type stocks allowed-only controlled rapid fire is allowed.
  • We also restrict shotgun ammunition to slugs.
  • No excessive rapid-fire allowed at the range.
  • If you need to leave the range for any reason, unload your firearm at the shooting stall and case it.
  • A firearm on the shooting bench should be unloaded, muzzle pointed downrange with the action open.
  • Shooters may only shoot at a target in their assigned lane, no cross lane shooting.
  • AVOID SHOOTING OUTSIDE OF YOUR TARGET PAPER. DAMAGE DONE TO THE TARGET MOUNTING SYSTEM WILL RESULT IN REPAIR AND/OR REPLACEMENT CHARGES OF TARGET FRAME OF $25.00.
  • Presentation from a holster is not allowed without prior approval from range staff.
  • Due to health and safety considerations - eating, drinking, gum chewing & tobacco products are not allowed in the range.
  • The call “ceasefire” or the sound of a whistle means stop shooting immediately!
  • Please place used targets in the trash containers.
  • After shooting please sweep up the brass around your stall and place it in the brass container.
  • No alcohol or drug consumption prior to or while shooting.
  • If you experience a problem with your firearm please leave the gun on the shooting bench and contact a store staff member to assist you.
  • Children must not be left unattended.
  • Do not hesitate to contact the store personnel if you need assistance.
