Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement for Peyton’s Place at the Seven Rays Ranch

Welcome to the Seven Rays Ranch!

Our mission is to provide a safe and enriching environment for children on the autism spectrum and their families. At Peyton’s Place, families can enjoy a sensory-friendly barn, a sensory room, and opportunities for safe interaction with animals.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please read this waiver carefully before signing. By signing this document, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks involved in participating in activities at Peyton’s Place and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Acknowledgment of Risks

- Animal Interaction: Interaction with animals carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, allergic reactions, and unpredictable animal behavior. While the Seven Rays Ranch staff take every precaution to ensure safety, I acknowledge these risks.

- Sensory Activities: Participation in sensory activities and use of sensory room equipment may involve risks, including overstimulation, equipment malfunction, or accidental injury.

- One-Family Policy: Peyton’s Place allows only one family in the barn at a time to ensure privacy and safety. I agree to respect this policy.

- Parental/Guardian Responsibility: I understand that Peyton’s Place does not provide childcare or supervision services. I am solely responsible for supervising my child(ren) at all times while on the premises. Peyton’s Place staff, volunteers, or owners are not responsible for direct supervision, behavioral management, or monitoring my child(ren).

- Health Considerations: I confirm that no participant in my family has any contagious illness or condition that may pose a risk to others.

Assumption of Responsibility & Liability Waiver

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of injury, illness, or property damage that may occur during our participation at Peyton’s Place. In consideration of the permission granted to me and my family to enter the premises and participate in activities, I agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Seven Rays Ranch, its owners (Rebecca Ray and Chad Ray), employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, and affiliated individuals or entities from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, present or future, arising from or related to participation in activities at Peyton’s Place, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I further agree that I will not pursue any legal action against Rebecca Ray, Chad Ray, their family members, or any affiliated persons for injuries, damages, or losses incurred while at the Seven Rays Ranch. This waiver and release extend to all claims of any kind, including but not limited to negligence, personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, or wrongful death.

Medical Emergency Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the Seven Rays Ranch staff, including Rebecca Ray and Chad Ray, to seek emergency medical care on behalf of myself and/or my child(ren). I understand and agree that the Seven Rays Ranch, its owners, and staff are not responsible for medical decisions or expenses incurred. I accept full responsibility for any medical costs that may arise due to my participation.

Property Damage Clause

I agree to be fully responsible for any damages caused by myself, my child(ren), or any guests under my supervision to Peyton’s Place property, including but not limited to sensory equipment, barn facilities, structures, and animals. I further agree to reimburse Rebecca Ray, Chad Ray, or the Seven Rays Ranch for any such damages within 30 days of receiving a repair or replacement estimate.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes arising under or related to this agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tennessee.

Acknowledgment of Liability Waiver

I understand that this agreement contains a full waiver of liability, including a promise not to pursue any legal action against the Seven Rays Ranch, its owners (Rebecca Ray and Chad Ray), employees, volunteers, or affiliates. I acknowledge that participation is completely voluntary, and I agree to these terms as a condition of my family’s participation.
