Lifting Tips: 1. Listen to your body. If something starts to hurt do not continue to do that exercise. 2. Start Slowly. Don’t try to start heavy, especially if you haven’t lifted before. Start light, and work your way up from there. 3. Be mindful of your form. If your form is correct, you should feel the exercise working out the correct muscle group(s). If you feel like your form may be off, don’t hesitate to ask a trainer for help. 4. Don’t Cheat. If you have to sacrifice your form to lift heavy, go down in weight. Gym Etiquette: 1. Don’t Drop Weights. We are on the second floor with offices below, do not drop the weights. You should be able to pick up and set down the weight in a controlled manner. If you can not, go down in weight. 2. NO Photos in Locker Rooms. It is forbidden to take pictures or videos in the locker room. Doing so will result in an immediate termination of your membership. There are plenty of mirrors throughout the gym for you to take pictures. 3. Clean off Machines. Make sure to wipe down equipment after use. This helps keep the gym clean and tidy for everyone. 4. Respect the Equipment/Rerack Weights. Ensure that you are using the equipment properly, and putting things back after you’re done. 5. Clean up after yourself. Throw your trash away, wipe up any spills, and if it’s something that will require further cleaning, notify MSR staff so they can take care of it. 6. Don’t hog machines. Take your rest break and continue with your workout. Sitting at machines while on your phone is not okay. We need to make sure we are sharing and allowing everyone to get their work out in and move on with their day. 7. Keep your clothes on. Clothes/Shirts must be worn at all times. Your membership is subject to compliance with policies, rules, and regulations issued by Level II Fitness from time to time. No excessive dropping of weight plates or dumbbells will be tolerated. Level II Fitness reserves the right to revoke any membership for failure to abide by policies, rules, and regulations. If a membership is revoked any remaining time on membership will be terminated. If the member has paid for yearly membership in advance, a pro-rated amount for the remaining months left on membership will be refunded to the member(s). |
