Review Privacy Policy

1. Eligibility:

  - You must meet the eligibility requirements specified for the tournament.

  - Participants must be over the age of 18 or have a parent or Guardian’s consent.


2. Code of Conduct:

  - Respectful behavior must be maintained at all times. This includes verbal/physical/emotional harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior towards other participants or tournament staff.

-Attendees should also avoid disrupting the event, annoying others, or interfering with tournament operations.

  - Cheating, hacking, or exploiting bugs in the game is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification and potential banning from future events.

-All equipment used is Battle Buddies Gaming Property and should not be damaged during its use or after. Intentional damage to equipment can lead to payment of damaged equipment.

Failure to abide by these rules can lead to disqualification and banning from future events.


3. Tournament Rules:

  - Participants are required to follow all rules and regulations outlined for the specific tournament they are entering.

-Only authorized Battle Buddies devices may be used during this tournament.

Starting a Match

Once assigned to your battle station, if you have not introduced yourself to your competitors. 

Play one game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. This will determine map selection order and amount of map bans.


Character Selection

Characters are declared before a stage is bans. After each game either player can select new characters, but this must be declared before stage selection. Winner of Rock-Paper-Scissors selects their character first.

Stage Selection

The competitors will play 1 game of Rock- Paper- Scissors. Map selection alternates between the winner and loser with the winner deciding the map selection. Loser of the RPS can have 2 ban per map selection phase (First and last game). The winner of the RPS can have 1 map ban per match.

4. Streaming and Recording:

  - By participating in the tournament, you grant the organizers the right to record, stream, and broadcast your gameplay and likeness for promotional and other purposes related to the tournament.

  - Participants are not allowed to stream their own gameplay during tournament matches without prior permission from the organizers.


5. Technical Issues:

  - Any issues must be expressed to organizers immediately.

6. Equipment:

 - Equipment will be provided by Battle Buddies Gaming, however players can play with their own controllers. Player provided controllers may not be modded or altered as to give the player an advantage. Player provided controllers can be inspected by Battle Buddies Gaming to ensure fairness. Organizers have the right to ban a device at their discretion.  Prize distribution is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all tournament rules.

7. Prize Distribution:

  - Prize distribution is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all tournament rules.

8. Limitation of Liability:

  - Organizers are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience arising from participation in the tournament.

  - Participants acknowledge and assume all risks associated with their participation in the tournament.


9. Modification of Terms:

  - Organizers reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

  - It is the participant’s responsibility to review the terms periodically for any changes.

10. Privacy Policy:

  - Personal information collected during registration and participation will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


11. Nintendo Terms and conditions 

Nintendo wishes to support making Nintendo Games, online services, and events safe, friendly, and enjoyable for everyone. To this end, we have listed below a few things that Nintendo would like to ask of you when participating in or viewing Community Tournaments. Please read through them carefully.

  • Please comply with Nintendo Account User Agreement and Community Guidelines
  • Regardless of the tournament result, please respect everyone, including other Participants, Spectators, Organizers, and management staff, and refrain from any discrimination, abusive language, or offensive or inappropriate behavior.
  • Participants must abide by the rules of the event and games and avoid using inappropriate player names or team names.
  • Underage Participants should consult with and obtain consent from a parent or guardian before participating in Community Tournaments.
  • The use of unauthorized software or tools, pirated or modified versions, etc., is prohibited.
  • Nintendo reserves the right to take appropriate action against Community Tournaments where these rules are not followed. To ensure that everyone who participates has fun and has smiles on their faces, please follow the rules and make it an enjoyable Community Tournament.
