Lion Country Safari KOA Rules

ONLY 6 PEOPLE allowed per RV site (No Exceptions) 

ONLY 4 PEOPLE allowed per cabin (No Exceptions) 

ALL CAMPERS must register at the office before entering the park. If the office is closed, there is a night registration box. No registrations after 10:00 p.m. All adults staying at the campground must be registered. Campers must have appropriate sleeping accommodations (RV, tent or cabin); sleeping in non-recreational vehicles is not permitted.

DAILY VISITORS must register at the office before entering the park. If your guest wishes to use ANY of our facilities, he/she must pay $11 per person per day. Visitors must park in overflow parking only. All visitors must leave park area by 10:00 p.m. (quiet hours).

CHECKOUT TIME is 12:00 noon. 

QUIET HOURS are between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Loud noises will not be tolerated at any time. 

LOCAL, STATE, & FEDERAL RULES Campers shall comply with all local, state, and federal rules, regulations, including, but not limited to, not residing on the property for more than 180 days per calendar year.

SCHEDULE OF FEES

All fees charged will be in accordance with Lion Country Safari’s campground rate schedule. Applicable taxes will be added. 

ON SITE STORAGE

Fees payable will be in accordance with the KOA Rate Schedule. All campers stored on sites which are not occupied by the residents will be charged for all services used i.e.: sewer and electric.

SUBLETTING

No subletting of units is permitted. An exception will be made for sites rented by companies for their staff. Must clear with KOA Manager or Assistant Manager prior to subletting.

WIFI

R.V. SET-UP

All RVs and trailers must face the proper direction for hookups. (No reversing units). No tents are allowed in R.V. or trailer section. Screen rooms only. Screen rooms may not be used for storage. Pallets, plywood, garbage cans, storage sheds, tools, freezers, fences, and refrigerators are not allowed outside your unit with the exception of normal outside lawn furniture, garden hoses, and barbecues. Nothing is to be stored under or around the outside of your unit. Extra add on concrete bricks can be placed next to your pad, but permission must first be obtained from the KOA Manager or Assistant Manager. These bricks must be removed when your stay is over. Only one unit and one vehicle and one car dolly per site. Extra vehicles must park in designated overflow parking only. Florida Board of Health requires use of a sewer donut with sewer connection (available for purchase at KOA office). Upon leaving campground, please close sewer cap. Only plants in pots may be added to a site, and must be removed when you leave. No landscaping changes to your site are permitted. Limited watering of plants & vegetation around campsite is permitted. Campers are not allowed to operate a business out of the LCS Campground. Commercial sales of goods and services is expressly forbidden. Satellite dishes must have prior approval by management. Boats, utility and/or storage trailers must be parked in storage area (subject to a fee). No commercial signs are permitted.

TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES

Speed limit is 10 mph (16 kph) through the park. No extra vehicles or visitor vehicles are allowed in park without proper visitor or extra vehicle permit in window. No using motorcycles, mopeds, ATV s (gas or electric) within the campground area (only to get to and from site). Motorized vehicles are to be driven only by licensed drivers on the campground. Lion Country Safari, Inc., and Lion Country Safari KOA Campground are not responsible for damages, loss or injury to any guest golf carts, e-bikes, scooters or their operators, or passengers for any reason. All operators of golf carts, e-bikes, and scooters must be over the age of 16 and hold a valid driver’s license. A Campground registration staff member must review a valid license before issuing a golf cart tag and valid proof of insurance must be on file in the campground office. In the event that the insurance or driver’s license for a golf cart or operator is cancelled or revoked, KOA management must be informed and no further operation of the golf cart or operator in question is permitted. All operators must observe the rules of the road and speed limits. Golf carts, e-bikes and scooters will not be allowed to go into Lion Country Safari. If riding at night, working lights are required. Everyone must be seated at all times while on a golf cart. No overloading of persons. No cutting through sites, or joy riding. All authorized golf carts must display a car tag while on Lion Country Safari property.  Golf carts should be secured with the parking brake on when not in use. Golf cart, e-bike and scooter owners will be responsible for all costs and damages incurred as a result of the use of guest golf carts, e-bikes or scooters on Lion Country Safari property. Violation of rules will result in suspension of privileges. 

INSURANCE

Tenants agree to carry their own liability and comprehensive insurance to protect against damage, theft, pilferage, fire, windstorm, water damage, hail and vandalism. Lion Country Safari is not responsible for loss or damage of any kind. User agrees to hold harmless Lion Country Safari, Inc.-FL/KOA and its agents and assigns for loss or damage of any kind. 

CHILDREN

Florida State Law prohibits children 16 or under from riding bicycles without a bike helmet. Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children at ALL times. No bike riding after dark, except with lights.

POOL AREA

Obey posted swimming rules at ALL times. Pool hours are (9:00 a.m. to dusk). Swim at your own risk (NO LIFEGUARD). All Children under 16 years of age must have adult supervision. Safety gates are for the protection of children. Please close gates when you enter or exit the pool area. No glass containers allowed in pool area. No food or drink in the pool area within four feet (1.3 m) of the pool’s edge. Pool is for registered guests only. If you have a guest, please advise the office. No running, diving, or horseplay allowed. No pets allowed in pool area. 

CAMPFIRES

NO WOOD FIRES OR GROUND FIRES

Use of propane, charcoal, or fake logs only. 

FIREWORKS are illegal and are strictly prohibited. 

ALCOHOL & MARIJUANA

Consumption of alcohol in any common area is prohibited, with the exception of swimming pool or a pre-arranged special event approved by management.  Use of marijuana is prohibited anywhere outside on our grounds and is limited to inside your personal tent or camper.

PETS

PETS Pets are welcome (in RV sites only) and are subject to the following conditions:

Must be controlled on a leash at all times when outside. Pet fences at campsites are not permitted. Dogs must be walked in the designated dog walk area, and must not be left unattended at any time. Pets are not allowed in common areas, restrooms, pool or playground area, except for service animals. Must not annoy or constitute a danger to other guests or pets. Owners must clean-up after pets. Current rabies inoculation certificate as required by Florida State Law. A maximum of two pets allowed per site. No aggressive dogs. No Pitbulls, Pitbull mixes, Dobermans, Chows or Rottweilers.

DRONES

The use of drones or remote-controlled aircraft is not permitted on Lion Country Safari property, including the campground. 

VISITORS

All visitors use the facilities at their sole risk. Management and owners are not responsible for any injury to persons, pets or damage to or theft of property.

EVICTION

The management reserves the right to evict anyone for behavior detrimental to the campground and its visitors. 

PLEASE HELP US BY NOT DOING THE FOLLOWING:

Dumping gray water on open ground. Excessive washing of trailers or vehicles on sites. Having outside clotheslines. Creating a nuisance or disturbance. Damage to any of the facilities, wildlife or vegetation. Play in parking lots or pavilions. Do not trespass or enter undeveloped areas of campground.

UTILITIES

Lion Country Safari, Inc.-FL KOA is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or malfunction of provided water, sewer and electrical utilities. Management is not responsible for damages caused by lightning, power surges, power interruptions, improper use of power adaptors or interruption of other utility services. We recommend that all campers use surge suppressors to protect their electrical systems and electronic equipment.

PHONE MESSAGES

Phone messages will be posted on a message board at the office. We will deliver EMERGENCY MESSAGES ONLY to your site. Guests who receive excessive amounts of calls and/or messages will be asked to make other arrangements. 

RESTROOMS

Showers and restrooms are closed for cleaning from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. daily. Pool restrooms closed for cleaning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. No washing dishes, pots, or pans in restrooms or showers; a sink is available outside the shower restrooms for this. Cleaning schedules are subject to change. Schedule changes will be posted.

SMOKING

All buildings are Smoke Free Zones. No smoking in any of the facilities at any time. Please keep all cigarette butts off grounds and buildings-dispose of in trash cans. No smoking in pool area. We consider vaping and e-cigarettes subject to smoking rules.  Vaping or smoking of any kind is prohibited inside of our cabins.

We at Lion Country Safari’s KOA wish to provide everyone who stays with us an enjoyable and pleasant time. These rules, along with those rules on the site map are designed to assist us in providing the type of service and atmosphere that everyone desires and will be strictly enforced by the management of the park.
