Public Liability Waiver


IMPORTANT NOTICE

This disclaimer notice (‘Notice’) applies to all participants (‘you’ or ‘participant’) of Leo’s Circus CIC’s (‘LCC’, ‘our,’ ‘we’ or ‘us’) classes, tuition, aerial and circus skills, and related activities (‘the Activity’ or ‘Activities’). Please read this Notice carefully. 

  1. INTRODUCTION  
  2. As a participant you will: 
  3. receive instructions from qualified circus instructors; 
  4. partake in sessions designed to enhance your circus skills; and 
  5. have the opportunity to develop your creativity, strength and resilience in a   safe and welcoming environment.  

We take our participant’s safety seriously therefore you must ensure you comply with this Notice and any other terms we provide you to. 

  1. RULES
  2. As a participant you agree that you will comply with the following rules at all times:
  3. you must act responsibly and sensibly at all times with due care and consideration;
  4. you must not carry out any act that may recklessly endanger either yourself or others; 
  5. you must follow any safety warnings or instructions displayed or given to you by LCC’s organisers; and
  6. you must inform the organisers at the start of each Activity of any physical or medical conditions you have.
  7. You must not participate in any Activities: 
  8. if you are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs;
  9. if you are taking prescription drugs, without first consulting your doctor as to whether any side effects may impair your ability to participate in the Activities safely;
  10. without first seeking medical advice from your doctor if you have any pre-existing, or develop any new, conditions, injuries or concerns that may effect your ability to participate in the Activities safely.


  1. RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH AND LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
  2. You acknowledge that you must have a reasonable physical ability appropriate to the level of Activity that you wish to participate in, as the Activities are physically challenging. 
  3. You acknowledge that the Activities carry risks that LCC and its instructors, volunteers and assistants cannot entirely eliminate. You participation may therefore include the risk of personal injury or death, including but not limited to: 
  4. minor injuries, such as bruises or muscle strains; 
  5. significant injuries, such as injuries that break the skin, cause fractures or internal damage; and
  6. injuries caused by objects or other participants when participating in the Activities. 
  7. You acknowledge that LCC and its instructors do not make any representations regarding the security and safety of your equipment or any items bought along to any of the Activities (whether belonging to you or a third party) (‘Property’), and whilst participating you understand that there will be a risk that your Property may: 
  8. be lost; 
  9. be stolen;
  10. be interfered with; or 
  11. be damaged or broken. 


  1. YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND UNDERSTANDING 
  2. You confirm that you acknowledge and understand that:
  3. LCC and its instructors are not qualified to express an opinion that you are physically fit to safely participate in an Activity;
  4. you have read and agree to comply with LCC’s Terms and Conditions pertaining to the Activities;
  5. should you receive any physical adjustments to enhance or correct your body posture during the Activities, it is your responsibility to alert the Activity organiser of any injury or impairment that may be affected by these adjustments;
  6. if you bring any Property to an Activity, this is at your risk and you are solely responsible for, and must take reasonable steps to, keep your Property secure and safe; and
  7. you will be solely liable for any injuries you may sustain, or cause to others, as well as any damage to Property or the belongings of others caused as a result of your acts or omissions. 


  1. YOUR CONSENT FOR LCC TO USE YOUR IMAGE
  2. We may photograph or record any Activity for: 
  3. safety purposes;
  4. training purposes; and/or 
  5. to use for our promotional and marketing purposes. 
  6. By participating in an Activity you consent to LCC using your image for any of the above purposes. 
  7. INSURANCE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
  8. In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us: 
  9. participation in all Activities is entirely at your risk; and 
  10. LCC are not responsible for any theft, damage, destruction or loss of property during any activities. 

The liability of LCC and our instructors or organisers is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law, and our total liability shall be limited to the sum recoverable by the insurance (if any). Nothing in this notice shall be deemed to exclude liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence. 

In relation to Leo's Circus classes, tuition and general participation in aerial and circus skills training and related activities: “the Activities”

1. I declare that: 

I understand that the Activities are physically demanding and I am in an appropriate physical condition to participate.

I have taken medical advice on any pre-existing conditions or concerns and confirm that it is medically and physically safe for me to participate in the Activities. 

I will inform the Activities organisers of any physical or medical conditions that may result in me requiring special attention.

If my physical condition changes (due to injury, illness, pregnancy, or otherwise) I will seek medical advice before continuing to participate in the Activities.

I acknowledge that there are risks involved in the Activities, and fully assume the risks associated with my participation. I understand and acknowledge that the Activities organisers (including all teachers and volunteers) provide no warranties, and I indemnify the Activities organisers and instructors against any costs or losses resulting from my participation.

I agree that to the extent permissible by law, the Activities organisers (including all teachers and volunteers), any sponsors and other parties associated with the Activities, have no liability to me for any direct or indirect loss (including but not limited to injury or death) sustained by me during or in any way related to my participation in the Activities. 

I will participate in the Activities in a manner that does not endanger either me or others.

I have read and agree to comply with the rules and regulations set out in the Terms & Conditions pertaining to the Activities. I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure I know and understand all of the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of participation.

I understand that I may receive physical adjustments to enhance or correct my body posture or position during class by either the teacher or an assistant. I take accountability for alerting the teacher or assistant of any injury or impairment that may be affected by these adjustments, or if I do not want to receive any assists. 

I understand and agree that situations may arise during the Activities which may be beyond the immediate control of the organisers (including all teachers and volunteers). 

I understand that the organisers may photograph or video record any activity in the studio area for safety and/or training and/or promotional purposes and I consent to such video recording.

I authorise the use of my name, voice and image in any broadcast, telecast, promotion, advertising, and in any other way, without compensation. It is my duty to inform the Activities organisers if I choose to withdraw this consent. 

If I do not want to be recorded or photographed during any activity in the studio, I understand that I must email Leo's Circus directly

on leos.circus.slough@gmail.com and advise them of this 24 hours before the class begins. 

I understand that if, in the Activities organisers’ opinion, my behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or otherwise inappropriate then I may be asked to cease participating and/or leave the premises. I understand that I have no right to continue participation in the Activities if this happens, and I will not be refunded or compensated.

I consent to receiving medical treatment in the event of illness or injuries suffered during or after the Activities.

2. If you are making this declaration on behalf of another person, as a parent, guardian or caregiver, or as the lead party for a group or team booking:- 

I declare that I have explained the conditions listed above to the named participant(s) (and/or each individual’s parent, guardian or caregiver as appropriate) on whose behalf I am making this declaration. I have shown them the Release of Liability Agreement and the related T&Cs and I am satisfied that they understand the conditions of participation. 

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS NOTICE BEFORE SIGNING. IF THERE IS ANY TERM THAT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND, THEN PLEASE DISCUSS IT WITH US BEFORE SIGNING.
