MEDIA SAFEY REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES AGREEMENT

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING!

Media passes are $50 per round, or day passes are $25 a day! Invoice will be sent once media credentials are submitted; media credentials will not be approved until invoice is paid!

Podium Promotions LLC is committed to the safety of the entire venue, racers, spectators and media personnel. Safety is of the utmost concern; therefore, Podium Promotions LLC asks you to respect the media credential regulations. Allowing media access to Podium Promotions LLC races is a privilege, not a right, and your access can be revoked at any time. If you are found not abiding by the rules by a Podium Promotions Official, your media privileges may be immediately revoked, and you could be required to leave the event. Your course access for coverage of the race is governed by Podium Promotions LLC and you MUST ADHERE to these rules, or your credentials will be confiscated, and you will be required to leave the course immediately.

1.   ALL MEDIA is required to always stay back AT LEAST 100 FEET from the racecourse. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STAND ON THE RACECOURSE FOR ANY REASON.

2.   Tampering with any Podium Promotions racecourse markings, for any reason WILL NOT be tolerated.

3.   It is imperative for you to BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES.

4.   Never cross the course unless you have clear vision for several hundred yards in all directions. Vehicles and racers are traveling at high speeds. Not all vehicles will be loud enough to give you fair warning of their approach. They can come upon you with little notice. They may be in groups or in close pursuit of the vehicle in front. Vehicles can pull out to pass at any time. Bushes or contours in the terrain are not protection from race vehicles.

5.   NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE RACECOURSE. Never stand or sit where you cannot see approaching traffic. If the course is obscured by dust quickly move back until it settles, and you have clear vision. If you can’t see the race vehicles, they can’t see you. It is imperative that you always STAY ALERT!

6.   Race vehicles throw a lot of dirt and rocks behind, those rocks and dirt can hit you with great force, enough to cause possible injuries.

7.   Avoid fences or any other obstacle that can possibly trap you or impede your movement.

8.   Off-road racing, the racecourse and its surrounding area can present dangers. Stay within your limits, stay safe, follow the rules, and STAY AWARE AT ALL TIMES.

MANDATORY REQUIRED- MEDIA SAFETY VESTS, MEDIA CREDENTIALS, AND EVENT WRIST BAND- All media personnel must wear a safety vest during the race at all times. Failure to do so will result in revocation of your media credentials and you will be required to leave the course. Media must wear the safety vest along with the issued media credentials to be allowed on any course. NO EXCEPTIONS!

All media personnel must register prior to the event. Day of event passes will be granted as time allows! 

Any and all media may be asked to move from a specific location by Podium Promotions officials for any reason. Failure to cooperate may result in your credentials being confiscated along with being denied credentials for all future events.

Media credentials may be revoked at ANY time for reasons including but not limited to:

• Not complying with any media regulations

• Unprofessional behavior

• Unsafe behavior

• Ignoring requests of Podium promotions officials and course safety workers

You must abide by Podium Promotions rules and regulations, including any printed materials or announcements made on site.


IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to compete, officiate, observe, work for, or participate in any way in the EVENT(S) or being permitted to enter for any purpose any RESTRICTED AREA (defined as any area requiring special authorization, credentials or permission to enter or any area to which admission by the general public is restricted or prohibited including but not limited to the competition area and any hot pit area), EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED, for himself/herself, his/her personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin:

 

1.     Acknowledges, agrees, and represents that he/she has or will immediately upon entering any such RESTRICTED AREAS, and will continuously thereafter, inspect the RESTRICTED AREAS which he/she enters and he/she further agrees and warrants that, if at any time, he/she is in or about RESTRICTED AREAS and he/she believes anything to be unsafe or unsatisfactory in any way, he/she will immediately advise the officials of such and will leave the RESTRICTED AREAS and/or refuse to participate further in the EVENT(S). I acknowledge that I may not have the opportunity to inspect any RESTRICTED AREA prior to the event.

 

2.     HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE the promoters, participants, racing associations, sanctioning or administrative organizations or any affiliated entities thereof, track operators, track owners, officials, vehicle owners, drivers, builders and designers, crews, rescue personnel, any persons in any RESTRICTED AREA, promoters, sponsors, equipment and parts manufacturers and suppliers, advertisers, owners and lessees of premises used to conduct the EVENT(S), premises and event inspectors, surveyors, underwriters/brokers, consultants and others who give recommendations, directions, or instructions or engage in risk evaluation or loss control activities regarding the premises or EVENT(S) and for each of them, their directors, officers, agents, and employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as "RELEASEES.,, FROM ALL LIABIUTY TO THE UNDERSIGNED, his/her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, FOR ANY AND All LOSS OR DAMAGE, ANO ANY CLAIM OR DEMANDS THEREFORE ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY TO THE PERSON OR PROPERTY OR RESULTING IN DEATH OF THE UNDERSIGNED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE EVENT(S), WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASEE(S)OR OTHERWISE.

 

3.     HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the RELEASEES and each of them FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, FEES OR COSTS they may incur arising out of or related IN ANY MANNER TO MY ATTENDANCE AT OR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT(S), AND WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASEE(S)OR OTHERWISE.

 

4.     HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE arising out of or related to the EVENT(S) whether caused by the NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASEE(S)OR OTHERWISE.

 

S. HEREBY acknowledges that THE ACTIVITIES OF THE EVENT(S) ARE DANGEROUS and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. Each of THE UNDERSIGNED also expressly acknowledges that INJURIES RECEIVED MAY BE COMPOUNDED OR INCREASED BY NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS OR PROCEDURES OF THE RELEASEES.

 

6. HEREBY agrees that this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement extends to all acts of negligence by the RELEASEES, INCLUDING NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the Province or State in which the EVENT(S} is/are conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

 

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, ANO HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY ANO VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
