Billings Equestrian LLC
Riding School Agreement
Thank you for choosing Billings Equestrian LLC to help you learn how to ride horses. We are excited to work with you! Please take a moment to give us your information and complete our rider release form and training agreement.
The Client and The Company agree as follows:
1. The Services
A. Billings Equestrian will provide client with 1 hour group riding lesson or a 30 minute private lesson per week, and un-mounted horsemanship classes each month.
B. Billings Equestrian will provide the lesson horse, saddle, bridle, and all equipment for the horse
C. Billings Equestrian will provide riding instruction
D. Riders will be automatically grouped together with riders of similar ability and level. This is paramount to our barn culture and philosophy of creating a community that encourages camaraderie, friendship and support. We feel this leads to higher quality riding, lessons, and just plain more fun.
E. Beginner riders will start with a 30 minute private lesson until they are capable of riding in a one hour group lesson.
F. You can also opt to stay in 30 minute classes if you prefer.
2. Client Requirements
A. Client Must show up on time.
B. Client must be wearing proper riding attire- boots with heels and riding breeches or long pants/jeans.
C. Client must be coachable, positive, and have a good attitude!
D. We are trying to build a family-like community full of people like YOU, and after the 4th lesson we generally like to ask for the name of 1 person who you would like us to contact and invite to join the program.
3. Compensation and Payment
A. Client will put a credit or debit card on file, and it will be automatically charged $425 tuition per month beginning on the first day of enrollment and continuing every 30 days thereafter. If client needs to change the credit card on file, please call 925-341-9521 and leave the new credit card number, expiration date, and CVC on the voicemail.
A. Client will receive a dedicated time and a day of the week where there will be an appropriate school horse and with a group of riders with similar ability reserved each week
B. We require 24hr cancelations to be eligible for make up classes. We can not make exceptions if you or your child come home from work or school sick. We have already arranged a horse and trainer for you the day of and have to cover our costs for doing so.
C. If client cannot make their time during a week- Billings Equestrian will allow a maximum of one makeup lesson per month. All makeup lessons will take place on a set day and time each week. A maximum of 1 unused lesson will rollover to the next month. If the lesson credit is not used the following month it will expire. Monthly tuition is still due in full when student misses their lessons. In the event that the weather prevents riding- unmounted horsemanship lessons will be substituted. The best way to get the most value out of the program is to make it a priority and a commitment not to miss your dedicated lesson time(s). You will be charged in FULL for no shows & forgotten appointments with no option to make up. If you are more than 15 min late for a lesson, you will not be able to ride and will still pay for the lesson time.
D. If client would like to make a long-term change to their dedicated lesson time, they may do so a maximum of 1 time in a 90 day period by calling or texting 925-341-9521 and leaving a voicemail.
This agreement may be cancelled by either party with at least 14 days notice prior to the desired date of termination. In order for client to cancel the payment- please text or leave a voicemail at 925-341-9521
6. Additional Services
All services outside the scope of this agreement that are requested by the client and which Billings Equestrian agrees to perform will be automatically charged to the credit/debit card on file at the time of service with the following rates. Please note that some months have 5 Tuesdays for example- so if a student rides every Tuesday they will be billed for one extra group lesson that month. Below are the rates for additional services outside of this agreement.
Additional Group Lesson: $80

7. No Guarantee
Billings Equestrian does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results. The results of your riding program are largely based on the efforts of the student.
Client agrees to communicate all scheduling changes or any other concerns about the program either through the barn telephone at 925-341-9521 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
9. Release of Liability
I acknowledge the risks and potential for risks of horseback riding and activities in and around a facility where horses are kept and farm machinery operated. However, I feel that the possible benefits to me/my son/my daughter/my ward are greater than the risk assumed. Intending legally to bind myself, my heirs, and assigns, executors or administrators, I hereby waive and release forever all claims for loss or damages of any kind against BEQ for any and all injuries and losses that I/my son/my daughter/my ward may sustain while participating. This release includes without limitation the risk of negligent instruction and supervision. I engage in activities at Billings Equestrian, 6033 Dagnino Road, Livermore CA 94550 - voluntarily with knowledge of the risks and I assume all risks of injury, death, and property damage that may result. I agree to bear any loss myself. I acknowledge that Billings Equestrian Employees are materially relying on this waiver and assumption of risk in allowing me/my son/my daughter/my ward to participate in activities at 6033 Dagnino Road, Livermore CA 94550.
By their signatures below, the parties hereby understand and agree to all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
10. Time Off
Billings Equestrian works on an annual term of 46 weeks on, 6 weeks off throughout the year. This will enable us to give our horses a break, some of our instructors to take vacation, allow for additional training, allow students to compete at horse shows and to run special events for everyone. Students can now plan holidays without missing lessons and ensure pre-scheduled make-up days in the event we have to cancel lessons.. In the months that we have a week off, you will still be required to pay your normal tuition. However, we will not be charging extra for the months that have 5 weeks in a billing period.
Similar to private school, dance, gym memberships, your monthly rates stay the same regardless of week/class amounts, but we then close for a handful of weeks each year.
Everyone of our staff is committed to giving their all to our program and bringing our riders an experience that can’t be found at any other local barn. We give all of our time, energy, and passion to our program. We are so excited to update our curriculum, offer many more horsemanship lessons and expand our barn family.
$425/month - that includes 4 riding classes each month AND 4 unmounted horsemanship classes (where this kids learn all about horse care and management) so it comes to 8 classes a month total for that price.
Thank you for allowing us to coach you and your children and for being a part of our team!
