GUN RANGE RULES AND REGULATIONS General Safety Rules All shooters must sign this waiver prior to using the pistol and rifle range. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Eye and ear protection is mandatory for all competitors and spectators at all times. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times. Finger off the trigger until sights are on target. Know your target and what is beyond it. Any shooter displaying gross negligence or willful misconduct of safety will immediately be ejected from the competition, the course, the range and club property.
Children must be under close supervision by adults at all times.
No one is allowed in restricted areas or off pathways at any time. Everyone must stay within the railroad ties. Never tamper with sporting clays traps, range targets or any items on the range. Contact staff for all malfunctions.
No alcohol allowed on course. I agree to comply with all posted rules, range officer instructions, and safety procedures. I understand that failure to do so may result in immediate removal without refund and possible denial of future access. Range Use The pistol and rifle range may only be used during designated operating hours and under staff supervision. Firearms must remain unloaded and actions open until on the firing line. No handling of firearms behind the firing line. Absolutely no shooting from outside designated firing lines or stations. Interaction with Sporting Clay Course The range is located alongside the sporting clays course; therefore: - Stay within designated boundaries of the pistol/rifle range.
- No crossing into active sporting clays shooting zones.
- Sporting clays shooters and range shooters must remain in their assigned areas for safety.
- Always be alert for range officer instructions when both activities are running concurrently.
Age and Supervision Shooters must be 18 years or older to use the rifle range unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors must remain under direct supervision of an adult at all times. Prohibited ConductNo alcohol or drugs before or during shooting. No horseplay, foul language, or unsafe behavior. No rapid-fire, uncontrolled bursts, or unsafe shooting practices. Failure to follow staff instructions or range rules will result in immediate removal. Emergency ProcedureIn the event of a cease fire command, immediately stop shooting, open the action, and step back from the firing line. Assumption of Risk I acknowledge that participation in shooting, handling firearms, and being present at a shooting range involves inherent risks, including but not limited to accidental discharge, ricochet, hearing damage, burns, exposure to lead, and injury or death from my own actions or the actions of others. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my presence and participation at Tinnin Hunt Club. Indemnification I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) brought by any third party related to my actions, conduct, or presence on the premises. Governing Law This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico. If any portion is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect. Acknowledgment of Understanding I have read this waiver, fully understand its terms, and sign it freely and voluntarily. I acknowledge I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.
Tinnin Hunt Club reserves the right at any time to ask anyone to leave the premises for such cause that management may determine to be in the best interest of others.
