Diver Propulsion Vehicle Waiver

PLEASE READ AND INITIAL EACH STATEMENT AND SIGN BELOW

I agree not to ascend or descend under power. I understand that by doing so, my ascent/descent speed could exceed 30ft per minute, risking barotraumas, ear problems, vertigo, and severe narcosis.


I understand my DPV can fail at any time, and I agree not to scooter a distance further than I can swim back from. 


I understand I am permitted to use the DPV only at dive sites number 27(La Machaca) through 53(Pink Beach) Unless, under the direct supervision of a TDS dive guide. 


I understand that I must keep DIRECT CONTROL of the scooter at all times. I will not let it go anytime. 


I will not exceed the depth of my current level of training. 100m/330ft maximum 


I will not open the hull at any time. 


I understand that I must keep my body parts, including hair, as well as loose dive gear away from the propeller and propeller shroud. I further understand that I must maintain proper distance from the reef. The prop intake WILL suck up anything that gets near it, including but not limited to loose hair, regulators, hoses, consoles, reels, sponges, and soft corals. 


I understand that anything that becomes entangled around the propeller shaft could result in the shaft seal breaking, and a potential flood of the DPV. 


I understand scootering can cause my alternate air source to free-flow, causing a loss of breathing gas, and a much shorter dive. I further understand I will not be given a refund for a dive cut short due to air loss. 


I understand that I WILL be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of said scooter during my rental period. I also understand I will be billed $100 USD per hour for labor charges, plus parts costs, to repair said DPV 


I understand in the event of a total loss, the replacement value of this scooter Suex VR Quantum is $6000 USD
