2025 Season Waiver

In order to allow myself, or anyone in my family/party including minors, to Rent boats and/or take any Private Lesson, from the Longshore Sailing School this 2025 season, without the necessity of re-executing the Boat Rental/Private Lesson Agreement for each transaction, I hereby acknowledge that the signing of this agreement shall be effective and binding for any and all transactions in the year 2025.

In consideration of this agreement of Longshore Sailing School, Inc to rent a boat to me, or anyone in my family including minors, I agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Longshore Sailing School, Inc. and all of its officers, directors, employees, principles, agents, subsidiaries or independent contractors from any and all claims, suits, actions, etc. arising out of any accident, damage, personal injury or death resulting from the use of this boat, including but not limited to any and all claims, suits, actions, etc., alleging negligence on the part of Longshore Sailing School, Inc or its officers, directors, employees, principles, agents, subsidiaries or independent contractors. I further agree that I am solely responsible for any liability, costs or expenses incurred due to damage, loss of property, personal injury or death suffered by or asserted against Longshore Sailing School, Inc., by any members of my party or any third parties, resulting from the use of this boat.

I am aware of, and familiar with, the risks and dangers involved in boating, and I agree to assume these risks. I am familiar with the type of vessel I am renting, its use and operation. I am familiar with the weather and tide conditions today.  I am capable of properly handling the boat under the current and forecasted conditions and guarantee the capability of any party or parties who may also handle it with my permission. I am a capable swimmer as are all of the passengers aboard the boat. I will inspect the boat before departure and will not depart unless I am certain of its soundness and good condition. 

Children under the age of 5 are not permitted on any Longshore Sailing School vessels at any time. Longshore Sailing School rules require that at least one responsible adult (18 yrs. Of age or older) accompany each child under the age of 8 on any of its vessels at all times.  I have read and understand these rules and the posted rules and regulations for boat rentals, and I agree to abide by their terms.

I agree that no alcohol is to be brought aboard and that life jackets will be properly worn by me and all members of my party at all times. I agree that there will be no open flames or smoking on any vessels. This includes all batter powered smoking devices. 

Photo release: Longshore Sailing School may videotape or photograph participants engaged in its programs and activities. These images may be used for promotional purposes.

I have read and understand the above and sign this of my own free will and desire.

My signing of this agreement acknowledges that I have thoroughly read and understand the posted Boat Rental Policy, Rental Guidelines, and the terms of the above Boat Rental Agreement.
