2025 Season Fishing Waiver and Agreement

This contract is between The Union Exchange (the "Business") and Guest. 

Please write the name(s) of child(ren) participating in fishing in the applicable fields below.

Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks, and Indemnity Agreement, Union Exchange LLC (The Union Exchange). This is an assumption of risk document. Please read it carefully and sign the form below.

The Union Exchange Catch & Release Fishing Rules:

  • No Outside Food or Beverage
  • No Coolers
  • No Fishing Near Ducks OR Disrupting Ducks Habitat/Coop
  • No Swimming, Boating, Kayaking, etc. Allowed
  • No Littering
  • No Taking Fish Home
  • Children Must Be Supervised At All Times and Never Can Fish Alone

In accordance with NOAA, please follow these procedures to ensure the highest chance of survival.

  • Please put the fish back in the pond almost immediately after catching it.
  • Avoid touching the fish’s eyes and gills.
  • Dehook fish in the water when possible.
  • Handle fish with wet hands and do not suspend by the mouth.
  • Use non-stainless steel hooks.
  • Circle hooks, barbless hooks, or hooks with crimped barbs can increase survival rates and make hook removal easier.

I acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to participate in a Catch & Release Fishing at The Union Exchange and certify that I have the necessary skills and abilities to participate in these activities. I know and fully understand that fishing is an outdoor activity in a rural area and involves dangers and hazards both known and unknown where accidents can occur, participants can die, sustain injuries and property damage. These dangers, risks and hazards include, but are not limited to drowning, injuries from fishing equipment, other fishermen, insects and wildlife, inclement weather, and the lack of immediate medical attention in the event of injury. Please note that The Union Exchange has honey bee colonies on the property and members should take caution of any allergy concerns. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary and I elect to do so at my own risk in spite of the risks and hazards. In consideration for The Union Exchange allowing me to participate in the Catch & Release Fishing Membership and signing this document, I fully recognize and understand that If I or any minors on whose behalf I am signing this for am/are hurt, die, or my property is damaged, I am solely and completely assuming the risk associated with these activities. As a parent or legal guardian of a participant under 18 years of age, I have read and voluntarily agreed that said minors may participate in the Catch & Release Fishing with The Union Exchange.

Also, I give The Union Exchange permission to treat said minor in case of illness, injury, or accident. The Union Exchange reserves the right to decline service to any person it judges incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in fishing activities. I understand that fishing is a sport and there is no guarantee that fish will be caught. I also agree to follow all rules, regulations and instructions both verbal and in writing from The Union Exchange. The Union Exchange reserves the right to deny entry to anyone at any time. I have read this document. I understand that this is a full and complete assumption of risk on my part, not only on my behalf but also on behalf of my heirs, all family members, representatives, and assigns.
