Promised Love Puppy Purchase Agreement

1. Deposit and Payment Terms


The total purchase price of the puppy is $4,500.00.


A non-refundable reservation deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit secures the Buyer's place in the selection and placement process and reflects the Breeder's time, planning, and commitment to the litter.


Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances unless otherwise determined at the sole discretion of the Breeder.


Accepted payment methods for the deposit include Zelle, Venmo, or cash.


The remaining balance of $4,000.00 is due prior to or at the time of pickup, as agreed upon between Buyer and Breeder.


Accepted payment methods for the final balance include cash, cashier's check, or approved digital payment methods at the discretion of the Breeder. Personal checks are not accepted. Cashier's checks must be received and cleared in advance unless provided by a trusted source.


Digital payment methods such as Zelle or Venmo may be accepted based on the established relationship with the Buyer.


If full payment is not received as agreed, the Breeder reserves the right to cancel the sale and retain the deposit.


2. Placement and Selection Process


Promised Love Golden Retrievers places puppies based on temperament, aptitude, developmental observations, lifestyle considerations, and overall suitability for each individual home.


While Buyer preferences regarding sex, color, personality traits, or future goals may be considered, the Breeder reserves the right to make final placement decisions in the best interest of both the puppy and the Buyer.


The Buyer acknowledges that placement decisions are intended to create the best possible match for long-term success and well-being.


3. Reproductive Health, Sterilization, and Breeding Restrictions


Puppies placed through Promised Love Golden Retrievers are sold as companions unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.


Promised Love Golden Retrievers encourages Buyers to make informed decisions regarding reproductive health and sterilization in consultation with qualified veterinary professionals.


Current research suggests that reproductive hormones play an important role in growth, orthopedic development, metabolism, and overall health. For this reason, Promised Love Golden Retrievers does not support routine early spay or neuter procedures.


For male dogs, neutering should not occur before 18 months of age and is preferably delayed until 24 months of age or older.


For female dogs, Promised Love Golden Retrievers recommends allowing the dog to fully mature before sterilization. Buyers are encouraged to discuss the timing of a traditional spay or an Ovary-Sparing Spay (OSS) with their veterinarian.


This puppy is sold strictly as a companion animal and is sold without breeding rights.


Under no circumstances shall this dog be intentionally bred, whether naturally or through artificial insemination.


No offspring may be produced from this dog regardless of reproductive status.


The Buyer agrees that maintaining an intact dog does not grant breeding rights and does not alter the terms of this agreement.


Any intentional breeding, accidental litter resulting from negligent management, advertising of the dog for breeding purposes, collection or sale of semen, use as a stud dog, participation in a breeding program, or production of puppies from this dog shall constitute a material breach of this agreement.


The Buyer is solely responsible for safely managing any intact dog and preventing unintended breeding at all times.


4. Health Guarantee


At the time of sale, the puppy is guaranteed to be in good health to the best of the Breeder's knowledge.


The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession.


Prior to placement, the puppy will receive age-appropriate veterinary care, which may include a veterinary examination, vaccinations, deworming, microchip identification, and health records documenting care provided prior to placement.


The Buyer will receive copies of available veterinary and health records at the time of pickup.


This puppy is guaranteed against life-altering genetic or congenital defects that significantly impact the dog's quality of life for a period of 24 months from the date of birth.


Conditions for which a hereditary or congenital cause cannot be reasonably established are not covered under this guarantee.


This guarantee does not cover conditions influenced by environmental or external factors.


If a genetic or congenital defect is suspected, written veterinary documentation and independent evaluation may be required.


All veterinary expenses incurred by the Buyer are the responsibility of the Buyer and will not be reimbursed.


If a qualifying condition is confirmed, the Breeder will offer a replacement puppy from a future litter. No monetary refunds will be given.


This guarantee applies only to the original Buyer and is non-transferable.


5. Return to Breeder / Rehoming Agreement


Buyer agrees that if, at any time during the dog's life, they are unable or unwilling to keep the dog, the dog must be returned to Promised Love Golden Retrievers.


The dog may not be sold, transferred, surrendered, or rehomed without prior knowledge and approval of Promised Love Golden Retrievers.


No refunds will be given for any returned dog.


Promised Love Golden Retrievers will either take the dog back into its care or assist in placement in a home deemed appropriate.


Promised Love Golden Retrievers reserves the right to pursue return of the dog if a material breach of this agreement places the dog's welfare, safety, or contractual obligations at risk.


6. Pickup and Extended Care


Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.


The Breeder will provide a designated pickup window to accommodate scheduling and travel.


If the Buyer is unable to pick up their puppy within the designated window, extended care must be arranged in advance.


A daily care fee may apply for any puppy remaining beyond the agreed pickup date unless enrolled in a structured program.


7. Right to Refuse or Cancel Sale


Promised Love Golden Retrievers reserves the right to refuse or cancel the sale of any puppy at any time prior to final placement, at the sole discretion of the Breeder.


If the Breeder elects to cancel the sale prior to placement, all payments made by the Buyer will be refunded unless the cancellation is due to a breach of contract.


8. General Agreement


By submitting a deposit or completing payment, the Buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.


By signing below, the Buyer confirms understanding and agreement to all terms of this contract.


This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Buyer and Breeder and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or understandings, whether written or verbal.


This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved exclusively in Collin County, Texas.
