VADEIA MIAMI 2025 – EVENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Evolve Miami Team and Julio Arruda dos Santos

In consideration of being allowed to participate in Vadeia Miami 2025 (the “Event”), hosted by Evolve Miami Team and Julio Arruda dos Santos, I hereby acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

Health and Participation Acknowledgment

To the best of my knowledge, I am in good physical and mental condition and able to safely participate in this multi-day Capoeira event, which includes, but is not limited to, physical activities such as warm-ups, Capoeira rodas, workshops, cultural activities, music classes, acrobatics, and social gatherings.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical or psychological injury
  • Exposure to weather or environmental elements
  • Interpersonal physical interaction
  • Travel to and from event venues
  • Use of equipment or facilities not under the direct control of the Event organizers

I voluntarily and knowingly assume all such risks and accept full responsibility for my participation.

Release of Liability

As consideration for the right to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Evolve Miami Team, Julio Arruda dos Santos, their affiliates, volunteers, instructors, staff, event partners, agents, and any associated venues or sponsors from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me during or in connection with the Event or related travel.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless all of the above-mentioned parties from any liability, loss, damage, or costs, including attorney fees, that may result from my participation or from any action I take or cause during the Event.

Behavioral Conduct and Community Standards

I agree to:

  • Act respectfully and in alignment with the cultural and community values of Capoeira and Evolve Miami Team
  • Avoid reckless behavior or the use of substances that impair my judgment
  • Accept removal from the Event without refund in case of misconduct or unsafe behavior

I understand that if I cause any damage to equipment or facilities during the Event, I am responsible for all repair or replacement costs.

Zero Tolerance Policy on Abuse and Misconduct

Any behavior involving abuse of power, physical abuse, psychological abuse, sexual abuse, harassment (moral or sexual), or any other form of inappropriate conduct toward other participants, organizers, or community members will result in:

  • Immediate removal from the Event with no refund
  • Permanent exclusion from all future events hosted by Evolve Miami Team
  • Notification to legal authorities if necessary

This policy applies equally to all participants, guests, and invited instructors.

Medical Coverage and Responsibility

I understand that I am solely responsible for my own health insurance and medical care during the Event.

Governing Law

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida (USA) and shall be binding upon my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, spouse, and family members.

Photo, Video, and Audio Release

I hereby grant Evolve Miami Team and Julio Arruda dos Santos full permission to record, photograph, or otherwise capture my likeness, voice, and participation during Vadeia Miami 2025. I authorize the use of such materials for promotional, educational, or commercial purposes across digital and print platforms, without expectation of compensation.

I waive any right to inspect or approve such materials and release any claims related to the use of my image, voice, or likeness. I understand that all such content is the exclusive property of Evolve Miami Team and may be edited, published, or distributed legally.
