Work-Study Acknowledgement

The WCC Work-Study Program is a distinctive, college-developed initiative that provides eligible students with valuable on-campus employment opportunities. Unlike federally funded work-study programs, this program is supported by the college's own fundraising efforts and fiscal responsibility.   Every work study award recipient must reviewed the WCC Work-Study Handbook for the current academic year (available on our website or from the Office of Student Life) 

By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand my responsibilities as aid recipient, including:

  • My work-study award amount and required hours.
  • The consequences of working more or fewer hours than allotted without prior written permission.
  • The requirement to submit all necessary onboarding paperwork as a work-study employee, including the I-9, W-4, Confidentiality Agreement, and Deposit Agreement.
  • My understanding that work-study earnings are considered taxable income.
  • My obligation to participate in the annual College Gratitude Event sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement.
