WEDNESDAY 7 JANUARY 2026: Gordon Mini Golf (EXCURSION)

I acknowledge and consent for my child/ren to participate in the excursion to Gordon Mini Golf organised by The Kids’ Castle. I understand that my child/ren will be out of the centre between approximately 9:30am and 12:30pm. I understand that during this excursion, children will participate in mini golf activities and related outdoor recreational experiences. I am aware that The Kids’ Castle will ensure an appropriate level of supervision, maintaining a child-to-staff ratio of 1:10 in accordance with booking numbers and regulations. |
I acknowledge that parents are responsible for providing food for the entire day, as The Kids’ Castle will not provide afternoon tea on excursion days. If a child requires afternoon tea, a $10 charge will be applied to the parent’s account. |
I also acknowledge that children must bring a hat for sun protection; if a child does not have a hat, a Kids’ Castle hat will be provided at a cost of $15, which will be charged to the parent’s account.

TUESDAY 13 JANUARY 2026: Colour Run (DAY CAMP) |
I acknowledge and consent for my child/ren to participate in the Colour Run activities organised by The Kids’ Castle. The Colour Run involves children running or walking through designated areas where coloured powder will be thrown or sprinkled by educators. I understand that while eye protection glasses will be provided, the powder may come into contact with my child’s hair, skin, clothing, and shoes, and may cause temporary staining. I am aware that some children may experience mild discomfort from the materials used and that parents are responsible for informing The Kids’ Castle of any known allergies, asthma, skin sensitivities, or respiratory conditions that may affect their child’s participation. I consent to my child participating in gentle water-based cleaning or rinsing activities following the Colour Run, if provided. I understand that while The Kids’ Castle will take all reasonable steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participation in outdoor activities carries inherent risks, and minor accidents or discomfort may occur. The Kids’ Castle will maintain an appropriate level of supervision throughout the event, with a child-to-staff ratio of 1:15, in accordance with booking numbers and regulatory requirements. WEDNESDAY 14 JANUARY 2026: Water Battle & Nerf (INCURSION) |
I acknowledge and consent for my child/ren to participate in the Water Battle & Nerf Incursion at The Kids’ Castle. I understand that during this incursion, children will engage in supervised water play and Nerf activities conducted by the activity provider, designed to promote teamwork, physical activity, and fun. I am aware that these activities involve a level of physical activity and may carry a minor risk of bumps, bruises, or wet clothing despite safety measures, and I accept these risks on behalf of my child/ren. I understand that all activities will be conducted under the supervision of qualified provider staff, with The Kids’ Castle educators also present to ensure safety and appropriate behaviour. |
I am aware that my child/ren must wear proper clothing and shoes for these activities, and that their clothes and shoes may get wet. It is my responsibility to provide a towel and clean/dry spare clothes and shoes for my child/ren to change into after the water activities. Children without a change of clothes or shoes will remain in their wet clothes and shoes for the remainder of their stay at The Kids’ Castle. I understand that children are not allowed to play outside without shoes, and if my child/ren do not wear shoes, they will only be permitted to play in the indoor area. I acknowledge that my child/ren will not be swimming, but may enter water to a depth no greater than their knees. |
I acknowledge that this excursion is suitable for children over 5 years of age only. I understand that the centre anticipates a maximum of 30 children, and that 6 Kids’ Castle educators will be on duty along with an approved supervisor, maintaining a child-to-staff ratio of approximately 1:5. I understand that my child/ren will participate in supervised activities organised by The Kids’ Castle, and that all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of my child/ren during the excursion. |

I am aware that these activities may involve the use of common kitchen utensils and appliances under close supervision, and that The Kids’ Castle will take appropriate precautions to ensure children’s safety and hygiene. RISK WARNING This warning constitutes a “risk warning" for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). All of the activities undertaken at or organised by the Centre, whether by incursion or excursion or otherwise and whether provided by an external service provider or by the Centre itself, are “recreational activities” for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW). By signing this Consent, Acknowledgment and Waiver as parent or guardian for the abovementioned child/ren, I acknowledge and agree that there are inherent risks of harm to children participating in each and all of the Vacation Care Program activities, including the incursions and excursions that I have nominated in the above. The risks in respect to each of the Vacation Care Program activities include: - Those risks set out in the Risk Assessments (if any) corresponding to the Vacation Care Program activity;
- The risk of a slip, fall, collision and the like, and resultant injury, where the Vacation Care Program activity involves any form of physical activity or use of materials that may spill or cause any form of trip or slip hazard;
- The risk of injury though use or misuse by any person of any item of equipment, utensil, apparatus, appliance, implement and the like, that are reasonably associated with the relevant Vacation Care Program activity;
- The risk of injury associated with misbehaviour of any child or misadventure taking in account the nature of the school grounds and buildings that the Centre operates from and in; and/or
- Any other obvious risk associated with any Vacation Care Program activity that, by its nature, involves a significant risk of physical harm, for example, the risk of injury where the activity may involve swimming or playing in water.
I further acknowledge and agree that in relation to all such Vacation Care Program activities and by reason of this Risk Warning, provided the Centre complies with all written laws of New South Wales or the Commonwealth of Australia that establish specific practices or procedures for the protection of personal safety, the Centre owes no duty of care in respect of any form of risk associated with the activity.

WAIVER In respect to each of the Vacation Care Program activities I have enrolled my child/ren in, I hereby acknowledge and agree that: 1. I have been advised and thoroughly informed and made all due inquiry in respect to the risks associated with each of the activities. 2. I have imparted on my child/ren attending such activities that: (a) while participating in relevant activities, they must wear required safety equipment as directed by the Centre staff or other persons formally engaged to conduct the activity;
(b) they must follow all directions, instructions and safety rules given to them by Centre staff or other persons formally engaged to conduct the activity; and
(c) they should ask any questions and seek assistance in relation to the proper use of any equipment, materials or facilities associated with the activity. 3. The activities may be physically demanding, require a basic level of physical fitness or skill and may result in forces being exerted on the body that may activate or aggravate pre-existing physical injuries, conditions, or congenital defects and that, taking into account the nature of the activities and the health and condition of my child/ren, I have determined that he/she /they do not suffer any illness, ailment or incapacity that may be aggravated or advanced by participation in any activity and that no such illness, ailment or incapacity operates so as to increase any risk associated with participation in such activities; 4. I understand that the activities involve certain inherent risks and exposure to the natural elements and that I am consenting to my child/ren participating in the activities at their/my own risk; 5. I hereby release and hold harmless the Centre, its principals, committee, servants and/or agents from any suit, demand or claim whether present, future or contingent arising as a consequence of and not limited to death, injury or disablement received by my child/ren during the participation in the said activities; and 6. Nothing in this Waiver excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy, implied or imposed by any Statute or Regulation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. All express or implied representations, conditions, warranties and provision, whether based in Statute, or otherwise relating to provision of products and services pursuant to or contemplated by this document that are not contained within these terms are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Authorisation to collect child/ren from the Kids Castle If the child is to be collected by anyone other than the parent or authorised nominee on the Enrolment, the Centre must be personally informed by the parent/guardian or authorised nominee in writing or by email. In the case of an EMERGENCY, a parent may phone the Centre to let them know, indicating who will collect the child and a description of the person. Parents must ensure the person provides the Centre with proof of identity e.g. drivers license or photo identification. To ensure the safety of all children, the person picking up the child will be required to produce photo identification and must be 18 years or over. This includes authorised nominees and parents / guardians if they are unfamiliar to the centre staff.
