- PAYMENT POLICY: A reservation deposit of $400 is required to make your reservation during a non-holiday week unless other payment arrangements have been made in advance. Rentals during holiday and event weeks require full payment at the time of reservation. Payments may be made by PayPal, MasterCard, Visa or Debit Card. Deposits made by cash, Personal Check, Money Order, Traveler's Checks, Certified Check and Cashier's Check must be received within 14 days of booking. No personal checks will be accepted at Check-In. A 10% Texas Rental Tax will be added to rentals as required under the Texas Sales Tax Laws.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: The $400 reservation deposit is forfeited for any cancellation, with no refunds, NO EXCEPTIONS. Additionally, no refunds will be given for cancellations of reservations during holidays or events, for early check-outs or no-shows. No Refunds will be given for cancellation or interruption that occurs due to inclement weather. However, you may reschedule. - CHECK-IN: CHECK IN IS BETWEEN 2PM-6PM for any customer staying in an RV park! (dependent upon arrival/delivery time) CHECK IN IS BETWEEN 11AM-8PM for any customer staying on the beach! (dependent upon arrival/delivery time) Delivery times are based on bookings and are done the day prior. We cannot guarantee that your preferred time will be available. We carefully schedule our pickup and deliveries to maximize time and appreciate our customers being flexible. We are also bound by the RV parks in/out time restrictions that we must abide by. We will communicate the day of delivery and let you know in advance when it is headed your way and when it is delivered. Earlier delivery/check-in times may be accommodated as a courtesy only and the 2-hour delivery window will still apply. All deliveries are scheduled the day before, please do not call the office asking when it will arrive or ask for an exact time as this only inundates our phones unnecessarily. If you need a unit walk through/orientation, please plan to arrive to the area early so you can coordinate with the driver when he lets you know you are next for delivery.
- CHECK-OUT: CHECK OUT IS 9AM for any customer staying in an RV park! CHECK OUT IS 2PM for any customer staying on the beach! LATE CHECK OUT: WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS, Late checkouts will incur a $50 late fee for the first hour and $10 per hour after. Delivery Drivers will need adequate time to break down units (drains, hoses, cords, slides, countertop items, jacks, hook up & get out). This is not a 5-minute process, and our drivers may have multiple units to move in a short amount of time, so please be ready at time of check-out. While we do a complete walk-through of the Rental upon return, we have a 10-day "post rental" detailed inspection that is completed to ensure there are no issues with the Rental following your reservation period. After we have completely checked in the Rental, we will refund (within 14 business days) your FULL security deposit (less any adjustments for damages, if applicable). Late returns are accommodated as a courtesy only. Our goal is to make sure the next renter has a properly prepared and cleaned Rental. Lost rental income due to late returns will be the renter’s responsibility.
- ORIENTATION:Upon request, we will orientate you to the unit, show you how to use it, and provide a "How to" for anything you have questions about. During your rental we expect you will make efforts to visit our website and other educational efforts prior to calling us at 2am to adjust the thermostat or ask us to make a 2 hour round trip to show you how to turn on the oven. While we love to teach - please make the effort in order to prevent costly lessons. If you have problems beyond the normal scope or google wasn't able to help, we will come back out.
- SERVICE CALLS: The service call is $120 per hour after the initial handoff and orientation. This fee only applies to items that would be considered "not owner responsibility" nor "renter responsibility."
- CLEANING: Each unit will be inspected, sanitized and cleaned after your departure. We ask that the unit be returned in the same general condition that you received it. If a significant cleaning is required, appropriate charges will be deducted from your deposit at the rate of $50 per hour. Please be sure to empty the holding tanks before the unit is brought back. If Renter would rather not empty, Twisted Coastal RV will empty for the Renter at an additional $35 charge. If you fail to mention the need to clean tanks, there will be a $75 tank fee.
- CAMPGROUND RESERVATIONS: We are not responsible for campground reservations. All campground reservations must be made separately in advance by the renter prior to delivery. If there are early or late fees due to renter request or delays, they will be at the renter request. If Twisted Coastal RV is late due to a heavy workload and you were out on time, the expense is on us.
- BEACH RENTALS: Boondocking has additional risks and responsibilities. An additional security deposit may be held at the discretion of Twisted Coastal RV if risk factors present as increased. Failure to adhere to the policies is complete forfeit of the deposit. All issues or questions warrant an immediate phone call, do not hesitate - for this is where additional problems arise. Open windows/doors cause more silent damage than anything else. Units are prepped and delivered ready for boondocking. No additional supplies will be delivered to the beach for free. Please plan to preserve water and understand you are on limited resources. If you run out or need services, we will come out and provide anything needed for the following fees: Additional "convenient" services to increase comfort: $150 Fresh water tank refill | $75 Grey/Black holding tank dump (on location) | $150 Extended stay relocation | $100 Grocery store pickup/Delivery (outside of original RV delivery) | $100 per day gas tank refills plus costs of fuel. Any of the above services may be discounted when combined at the discretion of Twisted Coastal RV. **we are not based on the island and often endure extended ferry wait lines both ways, these prices will reflect that time**
- DRIVEABLE UNITS: MILEAGE POLICY - If the reservation is 1-6 days, the renter is allotted 100 miles per night at no charge. If the reservation is 7 or more days, the renter is allotted 150 miles per night at no charge. Any additional miles will be charged $.35 per mile. This charge will be assessed and paid at the rentals return. FUEL POLICY: Vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level that it was taken with. If returned with less fuel, fuel will be charged at $5 per gallon
- AGE REQUIREMENTS: The minimum age to rent an RV from Twisted Coastal RV is 25 years of age. The person renting the unit should be with the unit throughout the rental period – not renting it for others or leaving children unattended in the unit.
- Insurance: We will provide the Texas State Minimum liability coverage insurance for your rental unit. It is built into our rental rates. Careless damages will NOT be submitted to our insurance, and you will be responsible for those types of damages.
- AWNING: Due to the weather changing in a matter of seconds, the awning can be used at the renter’s risk and can be damaged very easily due to weather or accidental misuse. The renter is liable for all damage caused to and by the awning. Awning damage can range from $300-$5000
- SMOKING: There is Strict No Smoking Policy in any of the units. If the RV is returned with any kind of smoking odor, it will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit plus any additional charges incurred in cleaning and/or repair.
- FISH: We are extremely excited for you if you catch keepable fish. However, there is never ever to be fish cleaning and keeping in the RV’s. Please utilize coolers for these purposes. Cleaning out frozen fish juice from the freezer is extremely time consuming. Fish oil and guts stink go into the septic tanks as well if you clean fish inside the RV - this is not pleasant and requires a lot of chemicals and time to clean out. There will be an additional $150 charge if any smell or evidence of fish cleaning or keeping occurs inside the unit.
- PETS: Our current pet fee weight/type based and covers the entire rental period. We welcome well-behaved dogs. PLEASE be responsible with your pet as “good” pets have caused significant damage to our units when left unattended. Claws are known to puncture the upholstery and damage linens. These damages will be deducted from the security deposit. Pets are not allowed on furniture and under no circumstance are linens or towels to be used for pet bedding. If your pet has a mind of their own as some do, please let us know so we can provide linens to cover the furniture. Pets are not to be left unattended inside a unit at any time uncrated – If you choose to leave your pet behind, please be aware that power can be inconsistent at some RV parks and if a breaker trips, extreme weather and Texas heat can be deadly to your pet in a short amount of time. - HOLD HARMLESS: Twisted Coastal RV does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons and/or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity or plumbing. Nor will Twisted Coastal RV accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond our control.
- SECURITY DEPOSIT: The Security Deposit, whether by major credit card on file or by funds held, is provided as security against damage to the Rental, theft, late check-out and violation of any renter's agreement contained in this Agreement. An inspection is done after each check-out for any damage done to real or personal property. The renter(s) shall be liable and solely responsible for any property damage, accident, injury to any person or loss sustained by any person or arising out of or in any way related to renter(s) use of the premises or the items of personal property provided by Twisted Coastal RV hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Twisted Coastal RV harmless from any and all claims, including those of third parties, arising out of or in any way related to renter(s) use of premises or items provided therein. Renter(s) assumes the risk of injury or other losses relating to any recreational activities and will hold Twisted Coastal RV harmless with respect thereto. Renter(s) agrees to indemnify Twisted Coastal RV for any damage to the dwelling, grounds, furnishings, and household items. In the event that damage result from a renter(s) occupancy, Twisted Coastal RV is authorized to utilize the credit card on file or garnish funds held for deposit to cover said damages or additional cleaning costs, including the charging or billing of any additional amounts that exceed the deposit held. Twisted Coastal RV is not responsible for articles left on premises. There will be a $10.00 charge in addition to shipping charges for handling the return of any articles found by housekeeping. Lost & Found will be held for 30 Days. After such time all items will be donated to charity. We give our guest the benefit of the doubt, any bogus or uncouth accusations against Twisted Coastal RV’s hardworking staff to avoid your responsibility for damages you created will result in their being blacklisted for future rentals. We respect you, please respect us and know that photos are taken pre and post rental for your protection and ours. Our goal is to create a good feeling for our customers; but our job is to run a successful company and that means keeping equipment in good condition. The responsible party will cover costs. Period.
- POTTY PAPER POLICY: We recommend all tissue and paper products go into the trash. Please place all tissue products into a trash can. If you choose to put toilet paper into the septic tank against TCRV recommendations to avoid your spouse seeing your poo paper, you are assuming the risk and responsibility of septic backup, clogs, and drainage problems (your spouse will now see way more poo). The service fee to come to your site and remedy this issue is $120 per hour. If it comes back to the shop and is filled to the top in expanded paper, the same service fee applies. We do not wish for the poo paper to be a vacation fun spoiler so please trash it and don't flush it - but we leave this decision in your clean hands!
- GENERATORS: Generators are not included in any RV rental. They are a separate rental item. These machines should never be placed on sand level, only on the tables we provide and elevated as we leave them. All efforts should be made to protect them from sand and sea spray. **The generator will run out of fuel. You will need to refuel it via the fuel canister we lend to you* We absolutely do not come back every 8-10 hours and refuel the generator/Inverter. We can, but the service call is $120 per hour for items not within the scope of our responsibility - we’d rather just show you how and save you money. If you are using a unit that requires oil and forget the instructions - we will show you again - these are all easy things. Just don’t do anything you aren’t sure of without calling first. PREMIUM FUEL ONLY! If fuel is found in the unit that is less than premium grade, a $200 full-service fee for overhauling the generator will be assessed. - TOWING: NOBODY should be hauling or moving delivered trailers at any time. If an emergency occurs, contact us immediately for assistance. If you have a ‘Book and Go” rental, you are required to purchase the addendum insurance through MBA prior to driving/hauling. This is not optional, without it neither of us would have coverage during your rental period for another operator.
- WAIVER: Our failure to enforce any of our rights under this Agreement or at law shall not be deemed a waiver or a continuing waiver of any rights or remedies against another party, unless such waiver is in writing and signed by the party to be charged.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The undersigned, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Twisted Coastal RV, from any and all claims, demands and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Twisted Coastal RV free and harmless of any claim or suit arising therein. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs. If a guest violates any conditions of this agreement, Twisted Coastal RV may terminate this agreement and enter premises. Upon notice of termination of this agreement, Renter shall vacate the premises immediately. In the event Twisted Coastal RV has to resort to legal process to enforce rights under this Agreement, Renter shall be responsible for reasonable Attorney fees and costs. Renter agrees this contract is entered into in San Patricio County, Texas, and consents to the personal jurisdiction of any proper court located therein. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE RENTING OUR PRIVATE RENTALS. PLEASE TREAT IT WITH THE SAME RESPECT YOU WOULD LIKE SHOWN TO YOUR OWN HOME.
