AGREEMENT FOR RELEASE AND WAVIER OF LIABILITY FOR A MINOR CHILD and JUNIOR FOXHUNTING PROGRAM (JFP) REGISTRATION FORM I fully understand that cross-country horseback riding and foxhunting (which includes riding over fences, riding over obstacles, and riding in and through steep, wet, and rough terrain) are very dangerous activities. Knowing they are dangerous; I wish to allow my child to participate in these activities and in all other TCH- sponsored activities. I accept and assume all the risks of injury (including death) to my child and or my horse and other property. I represent and warrant that I have the legal authority to give this release. In exchange for my child being permitted to participate in these activities, for my child, for myself, my child’s heirs, guardians, and legal representatives, I release and agree not to make or bring any claim of any kind against The Camden Hunt, its masters, staff, officers, volunteers, employees, committee members, Hunt subscribers, guests or any land owners, leaseholders, or any person(s) making property available , for any injury (including death), to my child or any damage to my horse or to my other property whether from anyone’s negligence or not, or from any other cause arising out of my child’s participation in these dangerous equine activities, including foxhunting and other related activities; and I also agree that if anyone makes any claims because of any injury to my child (including death), or for any damage to my horse or other property, I will keep all those released by this agreement free of any damages or costs because of those claims I further agree to allow my child to participate in the Junior Foxhunting Program (JFP) and will support my child to assure his/her participation in the regular Program including junior meets, training and orientation sessions, hound training and shows and any and all other TCH-sponsored activities and events. This release covers the regular season for the TCH’s program year of 2024-2025 from July 1 to June 30, 2025. I agree to identify a riding adult to supervise my child while hunting or participating in the JFP’s riding activities and events. Also, I give permission to TCH and to the MFHA to publish photographs taken of my junior while he or she is participating in any MFHA-and/or TCH-sponsored activity. Under South Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in an equine activity resulting from the inherent risk of equine activity, pursuant to Article 7, Chapter 9 of Title 47, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976.
