Confidentiality Agreement 



I understand that Living Streams Ranch (LSR) has a legal and ethical responsibility to maintain rancher (client/ participants) and donor privacy, including obligations to protect the confidentiality of rancher and donor information and to safeguard the privacy of rancher and donor information.

Confidential information is defined as: client identities, donor identities, identifying story details, session details, trauma histories, contact info, giving amounts, financials, operational plans, and passwords. This includes any information that exists on Living Streams Ranch devices and personal devices. 

In addition, I understand that during the course of my work/ assignment/ affiliation at Living Streams Ranch, I may see or hear other confidential information, such as: financial data and operational information pertaining to the work of Living Streams Ranch, which Living Streams Ranch is obligated to maintain as confidential.

As a condition of my employment/ assignment/ affiliation with Living Streams Ranch, I understand that I must sign and comply with this agreement. 

By signing this document, I understand and agree that: 

  • I will disclose rancher or donor information and or confidential information only if such disclosure complies with Living Stream Ranch policies and is required for the performance of my job. 
  • My personal user IDs and passwords that I use to access Living Streams Ranch email, network, Google Workspace, social media, and other Ranch software and hardware will be kept confidential at all times. 
  • I will use the utmost care to protect any Ranch data that is on my personal phone or computer to prevent unauthorized access to confidential Rancher and donor information. 
  • I will not access or view any information other than what is required to do my job. If I have any questions about whether access to certain information is required for me to do my job, I will immediately ask my supervisor for clarification. 
  • I will not discuss any information pertaining to Living Streams Ranch and its ranchers and donors in an area where unauthorized individuals may hear such information. I understand that it is not acceptable to discuss ministry concerns in public areas, including during prayer, even if specifics such as a rancher’s name are not used. 
  • I will not make nor respond to any inquiries about any rancher or donor with any person who is not authorized to have access to such information. 
  • I will not make any unauthorized transmissions, copies, disclosures, inquiries, modifications, or purgings of rancher, donor, or other confidential information. Such unauthorized transmissions include, but are not limited to, removing and/ or transferring rancher or donor information or other confidential information from Living Streams Ranch’s computer system to unauthorized locations or systems. 
  • Any requests for information will be referred to the Executive Director and Living Streams Ranch counsel, without any acknowledgement of the existence of a rancher, donor, or related conversations having taken place. Only the Executive Director is authorized to speak with the media, and any questions or requests from the media, investigators, law enforcement, or the public should be immediately referred to the Executive Director, without indication of the answer to the requested information. A request from an attorney is not a legal requirement to comply. Any court-issued subpoena for information must be reported to the Executive Director and LSR legal counsel immediately upon receipt.  

Upon termination/ completion of my employment/ assignment/ affiliation with Living Streams Ranch, I will immediately return all property and related information, including files, documents, passwords, and keys to Living Streams Ranch. 

I agree that my obligations under this agreement to maintain confidentiality will remain in effect after my termination/ completion of my employment/ assignment/ affiliation with Living Streams Ranch. 

I understand that violation of this agreement may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of my employment/ assignment/ affiliation with Living Streams Ranch and/ or suspension, restriction, or loss of privileges in accordance with Living Stream Ranch’s policies, as well as potential civil and criminal legal penalties. 

I understand that any LSR contact or confidential information that I access, create, or view does not belong to me. 

I have read and understand the above agreement and agree to comply with all its terms as a condition of my employment/ assignment/ affiliation with Living Streams Ranch.
