The deadline to submit your institution's Declaration of Intent and Adherence for the 2026-2027 school year is Friday, September 18th, 2026. The Board of Stewards of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) invites each member institution to declare its intention to qualify for and compete at the 124th Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship, co-hosted by the IRA and the Princeton National Rowing Association (PNRA), at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, NJ and/or to compete in any of the IRA Collegiate Series regattas, held on Lake Quinsigamond, in Worcester, MA. This is an institutional form, not a team form. It only needs to be submitted once in order to cover all participating teams within your boathouse at any or all of the following regattas:
Women's Sprints (Women's OW, Women's LTWT) - Sun. May 2nd, 2027 NIRC (Men's HWT, Women's OW) - Sun. May 9th, 2027 Men's Eastern Sprints (Men's HWT, Men's LTWT) - Sun. May 16th, 2027 IRA National Championship (Men's HWT, Men's LTWT, Women's LTWT) - Fri. May 28th - Sun. May 30th, 2027
This Declaration of Intent and Adherence must be completed annually by the member institution's athletic director or their designee in order for the institution to be eligible to enter a team, or teams, in an IRA Collegiate Series Regatta or at the IRA National Championship Regatta. As required by Article IV, Section VIII (Membership Responsibility) of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Constitution ("IRA Constitution") for Men's Heavyweight and Men's Lightweight crews, and applicable NCAA rules for Women's Openweight and Women's Lightweight crews, the undersigned certifies that the institution and varsity rowing team(s) identified below are, and will remain in, full compliance with the rules and guidelines as promulgated by their respective governing bodies.
The undersigned also agrees to provide all documentation described in the annual entry materials on or before the published deadlines in order for their entries to be considered for any IRA affiliated regattas and acknowledges that failure to do so will result in the assessment of late fees as established by the IRA.
The undersigned also certifies that the institution, staff, and varsity rowing team(s) have met the training requirements of the NCAA Sexual Abuse Policy and Concussion Safety Protocols.
The undersigned also certifies that in consideration for selection to and participation in an IRA affiliated regatta, the institution will follow all published rules and provide a current certificate of insurance with all required insurance coverage, including additional insured status to all organizations listed in the entry materials, by the published deadlines and acknowledges that failure to do so will result in the assessment of late fees as established by the IRA.
The undersigned accepts that this signed agreement constitutes a contract for insurance purposes. No separate or additional contracts will be created or issued. A copy of the fully executed agreement will be emailed immediately upon submission and should be retained for your records. The download link is available for 72 hours following submission.
