Firearm Rental Agreement

1. Purpose

This agreement allows the undersigned (“Renter”) to rent and use firearms owned by Guardian Shooting Range and Training Facility (“Guardian”) under the terms stated below.

2. Eligibility

The Renter affirms that they:

  • Are 21 years of age or older (or 18 years old for long gun rentals where permitted by law).
  • Are legally allowed to possess and use firearms under federal and state law.
  • Have presented a valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Have no prior felony convictions or disqualifying restraining orders.
  • Are not under the influence of alcohol, prescription medication, or any substance that impairs judgment.

 3. Rental Terms

  • Firearms may only be used within Guardian’s range and must not leave the premises.
  • Renter is responsible for the firearm during the rental period.
  • Ammunition used in Guardian firearms must be purchased from Guardian.
  • Range safety rules must be followed at all times.
  • Renter must immediately notify staff of any malfunction or unsafe condition.

4. Damage, Loss, and Misuse

Renter assumes full responsibility for any:

  • Damage to the firearm due to negligence or misuse.
  • Loss or theft of the firearm while in Renter’s possession.
  • Injury or property damage resulting from improper use or failure to follow safety instructions.
  • Guardian reserves the right to charge repair or replacement costs for damaged firearms.

5. Indemnification and Liability Waiver

The Renter understands and agrees that:

  • Firearm use involves inherent risk of injury or death.
  • The Renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with firearm use.
  • Guardian, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by the Renter or any third party.
  • The Renter agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Guardian against all claims arising from firearm use.

 6. Return of Firearm

The firearm and all accessories must be returned:

  • In the same condition as rented;
  • Immediately after the session ends;
  • Before the Renter leaves the range area.

7. Acknowledgment

By signing below, the Renter certifies they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this agreement and the Guardian Range Safety Rules.
